Thank you very much for your answer,Gurey 25.

You say:
in short the war was lost due to stupid political decisions and nothing to do with the battle field
All wars have relations with the battlefield and Ogaden War was not exception.

At the begining of the war Somali Army could defeat Ethiopia but Mengistu received Soviet advisers and Cuban troops and turned the tide of the war.

Ethnically and morally, who is better the Westerns or Asians?

As for travelling, the best and worst place for a young black bull? :stylin:

The Chinese have the longest lied civilization because they have not gone on a world wide conquering spree,
its not in their makeup. Historically they conquered neighboring countries to secure their frontiers.
Vietnam is the best example, but the vietnamese are decendents of yeuh, the south of china,
so it was a continuation of the wars of unification during the warring states period.
The Chinese want access to your resources and your markets and they are willing to trade for it.
The west depends on financial slavery to control the world, they will go to wars for it, cause chaos and destruction
they will always interfere if you threaten to remove those fangs from your neck and stop the sucking of your blood.
The west is not soveriegn all the western countries are just zombies controlled by " financial interests"
there is no real nationalism , no real countries either.
The west will always be there with their foot on your neck, always try to impose their way of life on you by force if necessary,

The Chinese are too arrogant, they believe they are the center of the world,
the Middle Kingdom Ching Kuo. They believe they are the height of civilization, and they expect you to go to them
they will not come to you and they do not need to convert you..

China is a normal entity, it is natural while the west is unnatural..

China wants order and peace in the world, the west needs and thrives on chaos because it is cheaper to impose control after chaos.

so all this democracy, human rights is all bullshit.
If the west argues human right to you, just answer them with one word ISREAL
democracy?? it does not exist anymore in the west outside of switzerland, the average persons votes are irrelevent.
The US is further down the road than the EU but they are fast catching up.
There is no such thing as freedom of speach or a free press,
the western media is so well managed that they practice self censor ship, and they have developed propaganda to a higher level
Goebells if he is brought back into the world today would be astounded , so would the propaganda office of the soviet union
they would feel like students and be seen furiously taking down notes.

As for travelling, the best and worst place for a young black bull?
i recommend japan, worst place i would say lebanon, the lebanese are stuck up european worship fuckers.

The ethiopian army collapased they lost nearly all tanks, nearly all armoured vehicles and most of their artillary.
We were defeated by the Cuban troops and soviet airmobile cavalry.
They built a new army of conscripts from scratch they basically gathered 50,000 peasants and gave them 2 weeks training and a AK
and moved to Harar.
without cuban and soviet troops and with the ethiopian airforce pilots in jail, believe me there was no opposition.
Even though Somali army strategy was all wrong and mistakes were too many, we would have won.

Very interesting your answer.

There is an opinion among somalis, they think Siad Barre betrayed the army because he feared a possible coup if Somali Army generals defeated Ethiopia.

Did Siad Barre betray his army in Ogaden War, because he feared a possible coup if Somalia won the war?

nah thats stupid talk..
Allot of the officers started disagreeing with Siad barre during the war, and they did not like his micromanaging.
When they started to ignore orders he had allot of them executed before they got back to somalia.

Thank your for the answer.

Do you why so few Somali Generals have written books about Ogaden War?

Do you know the opinions of Minister of Defense Mohamed Ali Samatar and General Nur Galal about Ogaden War outcome?

Both wars are very interesting, you are right Angolan War was more important for cuban people than Ogaden War, because more cubans died in Angola, there were many more Cuban troops in Angola than Ethiopia.

Cubans faced many more enemies in Angola than Ethiopia.

I have read many south african sources about Angolan War, but I think there are many more sources and books about Angolan War than Ogaden War, so I would like to know new things( books, articles and opinions) about Ogaden War. Few people know the opinion of Somalis about this war.

I think if you want to understand Ogaden War, you must know the opinion of all parties but the experts know few sources about the somali army and his role in such war.

Ogaden War was a very important war too, this war changed the history of Somalia and Ethiopia forever.

Gurey says he would ask any question, I dont see the problem with my questions.

But I have a different question:

Did Mad Mullah have the aid of most of the somalis in his war against England?
