all thanks to raqiyah omar though, I heard it was her who helped with the whole document.
UN doesn't offer anything. there is a panel where all sitting countries would vote yes or no for SL independence, which is important that SL has ties to different countries the more nations the more votes.
although they do look towards the west a lot I think we ought to change the strategy and focus more eastern Europe (Russia) Asia, AU members and especially our new market south America. I think our current forieng minister bihi is doing a good job but I believe more needs to be done.

I also want to ask where omar arteh is? I know he worked for the former Somalia republic but at the time like this for the arab world and how very close he is with many arab nations he should give SL a chance I understand he is old but I feel we would need his expertise.

Actually, after the fall of Afweyne the HY wanted to wipe out all the Darood from Sool and Sanaag specially the SNM division in Erigavo It was the naive people of HJ who did not let that happen. Next thing you know they established Makhiir, SSC, Khaatumo etc.... one of my HY friends told me we had to "do it" back in the 90s no internet no media no evidence what so ever

I do believe we did the right thing but come on! playing good cop for the past 25 years got SL to no where. our weak leadership (from English backgrounds) are fully accountable for that. Its time for Somaliland to look for it own interest its playing too nice to be noticed. What would happened if we approached Iran, China, Russia or the BRICS? By trying alone we wont lose anything but if we made it we will win everything!

The difference is that the atrocities that took place in Somaliland was state sponsored terrorism. The regime used not only the military might of the SNA, they also drained the economy of the republic and used foreign aid to fight a clan. When things went bad for the regime they went so far that they hired foreign mercenaries like Rhodesians, Somali abo (Oromo). Not anywhere else have that kind of horror taken place. They drained the blood of school children to treat wounded SNA soldiers, if that doesn't tell you anything I don't know what will.

Sections of the Hawiye and sections of the Darood clashed in Somalia but you can't compare it to what happened in SL.

You're right, never again will that kind of atrocities take place.
