What Somaliland should do is not support israel nor support Palestine, we should take a neutral stance on that conflict similar what the eritreans have done, we will not be used by Arabs to fight their wars against Jews nor will we back the Jewish republic against the Arabs. We should both welcome the the Fatah authorities and the israeli government.

Somaliland doesn't want to be apart of Somalia and Somalia technically doesn't even need Somaliland.

People argue about this topic daily when there is seriously nothing to argue about. I honestly think when Southern Somalia fixes up this whole thing will end and Somaliland will probably get recognition. I wish you guys the best in any case in your pursuit of it

Its the southerners that cry for union its they that need us its they that are obsessed with the former cancerous union, that SL will be recognized is a fact and even if take years alsong as we are independent , which is the most important thing freedom.

The idea that People with 2 permanent rivers, huge agricultural land and access to sea with immense resources far larger than anything in Somaliland need you is a comical. It's more of "We're against Somaliland to protect and stop the countries borders from changing" kinda thing which is why some are against the current state being changed.

Anyway as I said you don't want to be apart of Somalia and they don't need you economically technically in any way so there is nothing much to discuss here.

I'll go a step further and say that If the people of South-Central Somalia were intelligent enough to take care of their own land and not destroy it, Today they'd be the Ones asking for the so called union to be destroyed if anything considering the land they have but yeah....there you go I guess...

Indeed, there is nothing to discuss but unfortunately it is your government with all those resources that's claiming SL. Chinaman, what you fail to see is that Somalia annexed SL in 1960. For 31 years the government based in Mogadishu was collecting tax, port revenues and revenues from the livestock trade. Now for the current government of Somalia it is more about not giving up something Somalia gained so easy while the population in Somalia, unaware of Somali history, believe we were always part of their country and that we're destroying it.

^As I said I don't see any harm it will cause to let Somaliland get recognition (if anything it would probably be positive to the south in ways many don't realise now). Hopefully more people would realise this soon and you will get your wish
