We Somalis should have fewer children and strife to raise them properly instead of dumping them onto others.
environment and peers are also a factor in a child's life.
maybe the parents are outstanding, but the environment is failing the kid.
the most logical option to due is; you can move the child to a better environment & still contribute to it's wellbeing financially or otherwise.

It depends on your childrens age. I met a guy from bari while on a flight to emirates, he sent his kids to bosaaso. He wanted somaliland, but didn't have family there. If they're very young send them to where you have family...if they're a little more mature then boorame is good, and also hargeysa.
btw shafici is a school of jurisprudence not a sect lol. I've noticed tablighis in S-land are salafi which doesn't make sense. They study the caqiida books of ibn abdul wahab, even though the founder of the tabligh movement was a major hanafi/ sufi. Same with ikhwaani, hassan al banna the founder was another major sufi/shafii, the movement was later hijacked by salafis. Sland has alot of salafi influence(different types of salafis too).
I'd avoid diini teachings unless you know exactly what you're doing. Let them experience the somali lifestyle...diin can be practised and learnt anywhere

Jzkallah bro, yh that was the main aim, for them to learn Somali and experience that lifestyle, while also learning the Qura'n. Ideology isn't important cuz when they come back home I'll be re-brainwashing them to my ideology. But I obviously want to play it safe, so I go with the ideologies that have the lesser chance of having Shabab recruiters.
Do you know anything about Umm al Qura Islamic boarding school in Borame, the first question is do you know if its a girls school or boys school?
Also if you know anything about their programme, pls tell me? I heard good things about it.

I'm not familiar with that school, i suggested borame and hargeysa bcuz the ppl in those cities are very tolerant and ilbax. I went to a boarding school in my youth studied taxfiidal quran and basic arabic. One piece of advice i can give is make sure your children have a very strong foundation in classical carabi and the real somali culture. In my opinion it's more important than quran memorization, and it will pay off in the long run. There's nothing worse than memorizing a scripture but not understanding it's innermost meanings....The good thing about borama is that your children will learn good somali. Hargeisa has too many qurba joog so they can get away with speaking English mixed with broken somali, whilst in boorama they'll have to force their broken somali until they learn properly.
Make calls to those institutions and ask about their ciriculum...also ask your somali friends who are from the regions to connect you with trustowrthy ppl

There is a big Machad in Gaalkacyo called Machad al Imam Shaafici, there's loads in Mog town but Waqooyi is still good. Sh Max'ed Idriis sent his kids to learn deen in Hargeisa...anyway I belive environment is key but you gotta make dua that your sibling/child is born with akhyaarnimo. The amount of freshies ive known who completely fell off just to fit in, and the number of dhaqan celis that don't make it well in life...waxay ku xirantahay cunuga haduu dantiis yaqaan..

Jzkallahu khairan guys.
Any Las Canood or Garowe folks wanna enlighten us.
The thing I hate about Bosaso, Galkacyo and Hargeisa is they're all large cities, with alot of crazy stuff, they could fall off really easily. But Garowe, Las canood and Borame sound appealing and cosy.

Berbera in Northern Somalia seems to be good place for dhaqan celin. Avoid Hargeisa it got nightclubs and shisha spots.

^ No it doesn't. Seeing videos of Eid parties and weddings don't count as proof that we have 'clubs'.

Warya jamal its true that Burao, lasanod and garowe are the centre of muslim extremism in the whole somali penninsula. Hargeisa borama and Djibouti are moderate. jigjiga diredawa and gaarisa are completely secular its legal to drink and phuk any girl in those cities. Galkacyo is good place of old fashioned religous schools (ahlu sunna wal jameeca) .
The school i posted(nuuradiin) is in hargeisa not burao. i dont recmmend burao at all. their kids are known as "furuuq" have a culture of stoning "shiid/tuuryo" dhaqan celis people. there also an other culture known as "cawaandad" or bullying, burco kids are ruthless they beat the weakest use them "baad" especially dhaqan celis ones. i grew up there and i know the way we used to threat the dhaqancelis. only tough dhaqan celis can stay that kind of place.

Burco people are not civilized like Hargeisa people . Hargeisa people been travelling since the 19th century , they are cultured .
reer burco first time they left was 1989 when the war started in somaliland .
