The only thing that is annoying about this new cult is when some of them feel the need to insult the deen as if that's the final step of transition to apostasy.

We have to hide because the second quickest way to be excommunicated from the Somali community is to "come out" as an atheist. I love y'all but what an intolerant people. Reminds me of that song "Niggers Are Scared of Revolution" by The Last Poets where they go off listing all the bullshit they hate about black people but they end it by saying "I love Niggas, I love Niggas, I loooove Niggas because NIGGAS are ME, and I should only love that which is me..." Replace nigga with Somali and that's my jam.

If they are unsatisfied with religion, I don't have problem if they choose to live outside of it. In my experience with these type of Somalis, they can't seem to give their new found state of disbelief an honest go.. Too preoccupied with slandering Islam/Muslims.

There is probably no rise in somali apostates. However, there is a rise in the usage of the term "apostate". Everyone who disagrees with Wahabism is dubbed an apostate.

I have a co-worker from Ireland who can't stand Islam and Muslims. She constantly mentions this Somali guy whom she respects because he left the deen, a few weeks back she brought him to a work function. She introduced me to him nacalad baa kaa muqaatay. I wanted to get into his head but he didn't say much, when I asked him are you Muslim? He responded with ...by definition I faakin hate pseudo intellectuals and most Somali apostates are just that they have no real knowledge they just talk from their arse.

About the picture.What does it prove?

If anything it shows the desperation of the individual who took that picture.

They seem to be going out of their way to convince themselves.

I imagine its not an easy decision so i doubt a real atheist would pull such stunt.
