How do Somali embassies work

Somali embassies are run by clans. Whichever clan the ambassador belongs to runs the embassy like a clan territory. You have a bunch of randoms sleeping in an embassy and taking a shower there and they do so because the ambassador is their distant cousin. The embassy becomes a spot for clansmen to hang out and chew. Services are not delivered to Somali citizens in a timely manner except of course if you are of their clan

Open your own Somali consulate in places like Manchester, Seattle, Aarhus, Gothenburg, or in Quebec City.

This is how it works.

Write a letter to Somalia's foreign ministry detailing the reasons why you want to open a Somali consulate and become counsel general for the Tribal Republican States Of Somalia without his excellency's office and government incurring any expenses. Also, tell him that there considerable amount of Somalis in that area who need consulate services and most importantly, let the minister know there are untapped wealth in that autonomous region and many millions of $$$ could be extracted as foreign aid to the benefits of the struggling Somali people in Somalia. When you make few bucks on your commissions, start a franchise of opening up more Somali consulates around the world. Within a decade, you might be nominated representing Somalia in a global organisation and called Mr Ambassador.

OP, try make a LinkedIn account and track down big names. You probably won't get through to the Foreign Ministry straight away, but just acquaint yourself and have informal email correspondence with high profile Somalis you find there about any vacancies complimenting your political science degree.

So working in one field for a few years and switching to medicine...I've always admired the medical industry, but i'm a Mathematician i don't know how i can reconcile that...
