It depends. In the situations you described there was no cause for profiling. On Eid, you were all dressed nicely presumably and you were also chauffeuring your elderly (older person) Uncle. Some ditzy, hijabi Xalimo backing into a cop car all hysterical and such "omg omg, I literally can't even, I just hit A COP, I can't EVEN" will of course bring out the gentleman in any male.

Now, get a couple 18-20 something year old Faraaxs driving or walking around and that is where the profiling begins. Young, black and male in America.

Good point, but there is the possibility that crime rates would increase outside of urban areas if young white males were profiled for being young, white and male.

I been pulled over countless times. If they harbor prejudice against blacks they are not going distinguish between African Americans and Somalis .As Somalis we consider ourself non-black. We don't see ourself as blacks we call everyone else adoon or jareer. But everyone one else considers us black, they look at us like how some Somalis look at Nigerians or Jamaicans as adoon or jareer. Go spend a month in an Arab country or go visit Texas for holidays. And try to tell them you not black. Also you can't compare Minnesota to other communities Somalis live in. You have Somalis in the Police department patrolling your neighbourhood. You are extremely lucky if you have not encountered racial profiling. Its unpleasant and time consuming.



I rather have Somali cops pull me over than deal with a white cop any day of the week.

Madows (including Somalis for the self haters) always like to cause a commotion. When the police tells you to do or don't do something, you listen to them.

Don't do crimes. Don't look like a gangster/criminal. The police will never bother you if you just follow instructions and were good citizens.

Out here in London. Police treat somalis worse than blacks. Because somalis are big crimals and they are the worse ethnic group. Somalis in London got to highest number of people unemployed. Somalis also have the highest percentage of people in prison, 1 in 4 somali boys aged 16-25 have been to prison or are in prison.
Somalis in London are hated sooooooooooo much by the police and the government.
Somalis in London are treated worse than bides in London. And Police discriminate and target us so badly.

I remember when I was a teenager I would get searched 3 times a day, for no reason other than being somali. The police are so racist the they would only search somali people in the area, they did not care about any1 else. Even the akhis would get searched regardless if they are wearing a khamiis.
And that is not the worse bit, the police were racist so they would try to provoke us so they can arrest us. They spat on my mate face once,
another officer slaped my mate across the face, I got put on the floor countless times.

1 thing I have learned, is Qunyar Socde Qodoxi Ma Mudo. And that is why I have never been arrested in my life. Because I never reacted.

Even if they don't get you with the "black" card, you might being a Muslim. I remember when that AA/Somali fight happened and they had articles about it in which they went out their way to point out somalis were muslim and "troublemakers".

They will racially profile you if you have even a drop of african blood in you (one drop rule). even cad cads can't escape this since they'll probably profiled as mixed or latino. anyways living in canada i aint got no worries...in toronto most cops are minorities anyways

well, first, all white police officers are not bad or racist.

second, you can only speak of your experience with them.

personally, those a few times that i got stopped or pulled over by white cops (and they were all white) they treated me just fine.

nonetheless, the other day one of my friends told me not so good encounter he had with police officers sometime ago. he said, "while playing a basketball game with his friends, a neighbor called the cops on them because apparently they were too noisy. when the cops showed up, he said they immediately started to make comments like "you think this is Africa." "go back to Somalia" he said he was dumbfounded and couldn't believe what he was hearing but didn't know what to say and felt scared and said nothing.

so like everyone else, some are good and some are bad.

I've never been harassed by the cops but I have never done anything wrong either kkk. I mind my own business but I'm sure a cop would first stop me before he stops a white man. It's just how it is in this f up country. They give the white devil the benefit of the doubt.
