Qurbojoog is diaspora. Anyone who left, and came back are referred to as qurbojoog.

Your first trip like Aisha said will be a bit of a shock, but you will be very humbled and want to come back as often as you can.

I had a very funny conversation the other night about 'human rights' experiences (Lack of HR lol) and they were hilarious. I am glad I don't leave the house often. Everyone had a wrongful imprisonment story, or being beat up by an officer for standing up to them looool dont do that shit - Unless you've got the connections to get yourself out or get him in trouble.

You will be arrested on the spot. There is a police station near the beach...they come for the couples who think they can shukansi and all that loll

Don't wear anything less than a sheed/baati.

If you're with your family usually we get away with a long tshirt and tights, but I wouldn't show skin. It's not worth it. The stares are enough to embarrass your fam, if not you.

Oh wait, you're not going to Berbera beach.

Hmmm...I dunno how strict they are, and how much they enforce it. No bikinis/skin and you'll be fine.

Macaaney, this is when I don't know if you're trolling or not lol.

A Canadian knows very well the life of a Muslim, nothing about this is new. When in Rome darling.

You said you're going to Garowe I believe? Berbera is not known for it's coastal beauty like other places such as Maydh, but it has it's own charm and I love it.

Bikinis or too much skin on women = No.
Men who wear shorts no shirt = Yes. You know this would be okay anywhere, no surprise there.
PDA = No.
Al Shabab lol... = NO.
Police who want to protect the dignity of our beaches = Yes.

where is maydh located?
also are there any attractions that you would recommend?
also i saw in some pics that the beaches there have white sand and the water is crystal blue!!! like i literally cannot wait to go!!!!

loll InshaAllah sis. You'll love it here. Maydh may be one of them. Just google Somali Beaches, or google Maydh...forumers may also be able to provide more assistance as Berbera is the only beach I've gone to.

How long is your trip? For the summer or longer?
