They have a right to both a mother & father, so a shared custody arrangement that is in their best interest should be agreed upon. The only time custody or visitation should be restricted is if one of the parents is abusive.

What can I say, that's the best analysis anyone could give about the OP's question.

There is no need AND use for beating anyone. First, it's illegal and second and most importantly, it won't solve anything, as madam Basra & LH explained above. When you beat her up, what are you (OK, the guy in the hypothetical scenario) going to do? Get back with her? The moment someone cheated on you (unless it was an upon relationship) you lost any respect they had for you and that should be the end of it, unless you don't have respect for yourself and as Basra said, you lost your manhood.

The guy has to get his shit together and finalize (or set a date for it) the relationship and move on. No beating, no is-jiijiid and buuq.
