You're absolutely right walaal. I don't know about other ladies but when I'm learning about things like these, it usually just happens to be from the female perspective (makes sense if your audience if female) but it would be quite enlightening to know the male perspective on the same issue too. It wouldn't go amiss; we could share it with our male family members.Murax wrote: YummyMummy,
Inshallah sis. Really I posted that because many people overlook the fact that men to have Awrah. For instance a Man taking off His shirt at the swimming pool is revealing His Awrah, or wearing 'Skinny jeans' with the tight pants etc.
If I hadn't already said so, thank you for your correct analysis into my intentions behind the thread, and the added Islamic insight behind it. I found the definition of Taqwa to be very helpful personally

Jazakallahu Khair SelfD. Wallahi if I was to die I feel like I'd be in horrible shape. I sin waaaay too much, and the very little that I do know I don't apply most of the time. But Allah's merciful at the end of the day. We should all encourage each other though so that way We'll all improve!

waa iyyaka. Truthfully we all sin. Our imaans take a fall, rise, fall, and rises as we continue living. The key is to always keep fighting the battle and trying to please Allah as best we can. Loosing hope and giving up will not get us anywhere. So just do activities that will strengthen our iman and in sha Allah we'll all be fine.Murax wrote:SelfD wrote:My new Snet favorite ^^^ this guy! I love God conscious people. I pray that Allah surrounds me with them. Amiin

Subxaana Allah, I had an idea for a thread & you guys reminded me. We definitely need to encourage each other towards what's right.
I feel exactly like you Murax, that if I die tonight, I worry I may not be of the righteous
but we need to use the little time we have been given by Al-Raxmaan wisely, as there's no going back.

Ameen Sis. So true Iman goes up and down. Yaziidu Bi Taa'a Wa Yanqussu Bil Ma'siyyah (Goes up with obedience, and decreases with sin) According to the Hadeeth. Your point about not giving up is amazing too:
'Qul Yaa Ibaadiyal Ladeena Asrafu Alaa Anfussihim Laa Taqnattu Min Rahmatillah Inalaaha Yaghfiru Thunuuba Jamee'ah' (Say to the servant who transgresses upon Himself do not despair in Allah's mercy, Allah forgives all sins'). It was said that there was a Man who lived in Makkah a Companion may Allah be pleased with Him. After the Hijrah He was stuck in Makkah and His family and the people of Makkah beat him and jailed Him until He renounced Islam because He couldn't take the pain. He was so depressed and thought that His Islam was completely over. When this Ayah was revealed Omar Bin Khattab sent Him a letter with this verse to the man in Makkah and when He received it He got so happy He immedietely traveled to Madina and joined the community.
YummyMummy,
Inshallah I'll do some research and try to find out exactly what they are as far as proper dress for Men.
