The funny thing is I'm not really a fan of Xirsi, he has all the makings of a dictator and I would hate to see him as president. I do respect him though and won't just criticise the good work that he does because I don't like him.

No man. People are just hating Hirsi and Silanyo because of their clan.
Yo don't hear people saying anything bad about Warancade, Bihi Yoonis or Samaale.

Hirsi is one of the most, if not the most hardworking politican I have see.
Sometimes I think the guy is a jin, one minute he is in baliguduble, then you would see him again in Sanaag, before you not it he is back in Hargeisa.
This guy does so much travelling it amazes me how those small legs keep up.

looool qabyaalad roads ayaynu ku faanaynaa maanta sxb? u serious.like salaxley road they came in after project finished t cut some ribbon and pay for the xaflada, thats the government we have, totally and utter useless.

Besides how can a national dawlad be cutting deals with individual tribes? roads are at a national level. There needs to be fact finding mission, case studies, research, etc.
Government chooses to pay few pennies here and there for these projects and take credit.

Xirsi gaab is using our old aged elected president's power thats why he is so popular and well respected. obviosly the man is little fariid because he managed to win president silanyo's heart which is not easy for some one who have no historic close personal or family relationship with the president. Well I have never heard or watched mudane warancade claiming that he donated 20 or 30 cars to his ministry. It was hadhwanaag (not even any other website or tv) who reprted such with out quote from the minister. its really hard to beleive that he contributed between 20 and 30 police cars from his pocket.

Waryaa hoobariiska qabyaalad roads is the most sophisticated policy in africa, invented by awdalians and implemented by Kumiye political party. Timacade said "dugsi maleh qabyaaladi waxay dumiso mooyaane" we proved him wrong in fact qabyaalad can be used for development projects. And so far your ciidagle clan leads tittle "best qabiil for development" in the horn. If other landers fail to build 30 km like ciidagale they will labeled as the "weakest Somaliland clan" or" gun aan laga guursan" loool. Ciise muuse are the weakest link if they dont start to build road from berbera to bulaxar right now.

As for the road linking Hargeisa and Salaxley;So far the community contributed the construction cost of 13km long while the Somaliland Government contributed
the cost of 5km long of the road.

And as for the Erigavo to Burco road which is about 300km, the government is funding 100km and the public is donating the other 200km.

Don't forget the government's annual budget is only 250 million. Now that is a lot money well spent.

And FYI Hirsi has donated $2000 just like all the other Kulmiye members did, only Silanyo and Saylici donated more money to the Somaliland Road Development

The koonfurians had a similar system 15 years ago, it was called isbaaro roads.Somaliland 15 years later are encouraging similar 'qabiil roads'. Does that mean we can tax qabiilst outside that road? does it mean ciidagale cant use burco to sanaag since they dont live there, does it mean the warsenglis cant use the salaxley to guba road. I say yes they should pay tax since they didnt pay a dime. This is kulmiye national road policy.

Hoobariiska dont you know that we are a state of united clans and that our government controls less than 10% our wealth ? clans are actually our country's defence forces, we use them to build the national infrustructure, and we use them to defeat any armed clan who turn against somaliland, or any other external enemies.
dont be fool like luquidhydro. You have to adapt the reality we are unique and different than 99% of other world countries.

We are a de facto illegal state, for gods sake how come you can ignore the role of clans. Remember isaaq clans were recruited to fight against the mighty of dictator siad bare army and they won. We must use the same strategy to build our country infrastructure, every clan must contribute to the national roads,hospitials and fishing ports in their regions. Our national government owns all kinds of public infrastructure, if for example eidale builds hospitals in their deegan the hospitals are automatically ministry of healthy propert.

1. It would be extremly difficult, because their is no car registration system and CCTV
2. It would cost too much money to monitor this.

I think anyone who contributes to building roads is giving sadaqah back to the community. Even though most people have different intentions. These road don't belong to a specif clan but they belong to somaliland. I'm from Burco but I spend a lot of time in Hargeisa, I don't want to be paying tax to a specif clan just because they built road x. That is Gumaaysi somaliland don't do that.
Also I think building roads and improving the infrustructure is a huge boost to the long term economy. People could easily move goods and soon their would be zip/post codes. This would be a huge boost, because somaliland needs this.
Also business is open to anyone no matter where you are from east or west, we have Dhulbahante people investing in Hargeisa, we have Sacad Muse baying land in Caynaba...
Me I donated money to to Burco-Erigaabo road. Even though my sub clan lives no way near this road. I'm from Hawd. But I beleive Erigavo region is great for business, it has some of the most fertile soil in somaliland and also it receives the most rain in the whole of somaliland, not the mention its cool climate. Me I'm not looking to live there but I'm looking to buy land there and doing business.
