^^ aayar, sxb, aayar. I'm using "we are better than them" sarcastically. As in, We(somalis, muslims) are better than them(gaalada).

When the Japs got there asses handed to them on a platter in WW11, they accepted defeat. They accepted that they and their Divine Emperor were going to be humiliated. They accepeted that everything they belelieved in was bullshit. That the "superior Japanaese race" narrative = BS

Why did they accept that? Because they accepted reality. And because they accepted reality, they were able to rebuild their shattered country and turn into a global power (again) in less than 30 years. Accepting stark bitter reality as it is; any progress starts from there.

We can't even accept that Ethiopia defeated us in 1977. That they WON that war. Luis01 gets in here and the excuses start coming down like rain: "We lost the war, but we won the battles" "we didn't lose, we just retreated" yadda yadda. And that comfort-blanket of denial envelopes virtually EVERY ASPECT of our lives, on the international level, the national level, the qabiil level
