I cook for my dates too, and I have never been told I am weird for doing so. The only women who say stuff like that is my mom and aunties, infact my eedo would kill me if I was spotted in her kitchen, it is a different generation.

Anyway, I don't know how old you're so I won't be able to judge.

Nothing wrong with it. Just different culture's have different mentalities. Seeing you are brought up in the western world, there is nothing wrong with your mentality. There is no wrong or right when it comes to differences in cultural interactions and stereotypes. In Somali culture it is the womens role to cook the food thats all.

Phinx

Walaal that stuff looks like microwave can food with the dreaded white bread. Didn't your other significant half, the half Dutch and French lady teach you how to cook proper nutritious foods, such as freshly cooked lamb or beef stir Fry with vegetables and noodles? Not bad as a meal for a single middle aged dude. lol. Good to meet you again.

I think I might have contributed to my mom's death the day I told her that I was in the kitchen and cooking food.

In the good old days, men who neared the kitchen were called " Qorqod" and provided the material for saar; "qorqod qoraansi dheer, dheryaha qooraaminaayo, qaadirkaan ka tuugeen qaraabo ha iiga dhigin" was a famous saar-line sung by the women.

I remember visiting My relatives in Saudi. I would go in to the kitchen to pour myself a drink or get some food and in the beginning I was told sit down we'll bring it. 2nd time, My Uncle sat me down and said listen men don't go in the kitchen. Simply say what You want and it will be brought to You. I was like great!

Being able to cook will keep you healthy so its useful skill, i suppose. Most fellas that move out of their home and renting homes don't actually have maids and neither are they rushing to marriage nor are they going to be living off frozen ready meals.

Interesting, now I know the reason why my Mom calls me qorqod when I go into the kitchen :o

Lancer: Ah! I see. Duly noted Sxb. Farax's are starting to move out in their early twenties now so we gotta compromise. I've never made cambabuur but my sabaayad is coming along nicely lol.

Amira: That's the plan. :MJ:

Evolsyawla: Hah thanks. I only eat mushroom in small quantities so yeah lol. I think it just depends on the girl cause some of them have probably cooked for their fam their whole lives while their brothers played xbox/playstation. Maybe that's why they got weirded out...

Baaastounit: Hear hear!

original dervish: shit sorry bro. If it makes you feel any better I've been on the streets myself for quite awhile. Glad to see you're doing well now though.

AJ: I told them exactly that. They didn't budge.

Bella18: aww Thanks!

Osman: Jeffo my man can investigate if you want.

Ciidhartha: hmm...

Jabuutawi: Cooking is for losers?!! Wow I didn't know!

Adali: lol it's actually the opposite for me. Strange it's actually my aunts cousins and sisters who don't have a problem with it.

I'm in my early twenties bruh.

XimaanJalle: thanks Sxb.

Machiavelli2: significant other? Half French half Dutch lady? Dude what are you smoking?! Lol I only have an eye for my Somali queens. #teamxalimo

guulaid111: Meh.

Cherine: I have no idea what you're talking about.

hyperactive: Same. I use the microwave for tea but not for cooking food.

Murax: LMFAO!!

Estarix: Exactly my sentiments Sxb.

Basra: Whats the problem? She eats my food then I eat her out. 8-)

It is not weird. Maybe the xalimos you dated were all straight from baadiye lol.
I learn most of the cooking from my brother so nothing wrong with it!

Baadiye? Naahhhhhhhh dude. These girls were born and raised in Australia. I'm talking about the accent and everything. Some didn't even wear the Hijab and others even wore bikinis to the beach and yet they still found it weird.

Who knows.

What is next? Are you gonna wash her panties, too? Alpha males instill a sense of not only physical superiority over women -- that is given, but emotional superiority as well. After I am done with them, they thank me for being "bad boy". Wipe off that "L" on your forehead son.

I am,

Jabuu " I don't go downtown on them, but they go willingly downtown on me" tawi

Yo, I am just playing with you. Nothing better for me to do today but to BS here. Do your thang, man.
