Somaliland needs gay rights. When I was there during the year 2009 I've spoke to a lot of closet homosexuals ( people who haven't pronounced they are gay), and they told me that if the government gave them freedom they'll vote and participate in Somaliland politics.

To the government of Somaliland if you want recognition you will need to actively seek out the approval and right of gays in Somaliland.

Mogadishu is not Somalia, Mogadishu is the capital of Somalia, don't let the weak circus government fool you.

As for Kilinkaa Shanaad, I agree but the thing is, Kiliinka shanaad is the Somali region of Ethiopia, not the Ogaden region of Ethiopia, sure Ogadens are the top dogs, but only because they outnumber the rest.

kilil 5 is a clan admin run even by one sub clan of maxammad subeer not even all ogaden

Somaliland is the Most democratic In the whole somali peninsula jabuuti is run for more than 40 years by one clan called mamaSsan. Since 1991 somalia had 7 hawiye presidentS

Somaliland clans are given equal oppurtunity
every elections Though a clan is the overwealming majority but other clans are allowed to participate

Honestly if Silanyo today legalized gay marriage, abortion, marijuana, I will campaign for him and donate everything I have to his campaign. If he copies Scandinavia or the Netherlands I will fight a war for him. I will sacrifice my life to see a recognized Somaliland. I will take a bullet

Even if beesha dhexe consists the majority, for political correctness, all the clans specially in the east should fill the top positions like the speaker and so on also the role of women is missing, only one female mp who has inherited from her husband but recently a female judge was appointed

Djibouti is not clan-based state!

Yes it has ciise majority but they share power almost equally

The pm is afar he's also the vice president of the ruling party and the parliament is 33 ciisa and 32 cafar, the same thing goes to the cabinet and the army

By constitution women is allocated for 12 parliamentary seats

"Although the prime minister of Djibouti is Afar, the National Assembly is almost evenly divided between Issa and Afar constituencies, and the cabinet is split among Issa and Afar ministers"

However, iise dominate through the authorities of the president wich is a constitutional order

Lol at calling somalia a clan state!

You have to look the institutions wich r shared equally between the 4 clans

Govt is influenced by minority clans like sheekhal, hassan sheekh and badiyoow ar just their candidates

Dblock had president and 7 pms!

I agree there's a conditions that would help one to reach power but nothing constitutional that stopps one to become president!.

ramzy said it all. there is no isaaq sxbal . every habar works hard to win their place. the so called corner clans must understand how the system works. samaron have a population equal to habarjeclo I honestly see them as fools when they calaalcal "tabasho" begging a man whos government is falling in 6 months. silanyo needs their vote they must make a political deal with him or his competitors, the actual power is in their hands. no niic no calaacal .

:dead: Where do you get your census data from? Your use of "corner clans" and the fact that you claim the "whole of Samaroon" are the size of your subclan seems a tad biased. When that likely is not true. And you have Samaroon tribes crossing country lines with the bulk of their numbers in Djibouti and Ethiopia. :MJ:

Sahal you are wrong Djibouti more than half of the Parliament belongs to ciise the rest canfar over 65 % of government officials are Ciise ,even Ciises from Ethiopia are given the green card. Can canfar become president of Djibouti never , canfar have a meaningless post with no powers,.

Somaliland gained independence re gained its independence i should say Isaaq presidents of those 23 years independence 3 isaaq presidents and one ruled only very briefly we had 8 years a gadabuursi president. And this can happen again in the near future.

Somalia is duopoly Hawiye president , darood prime minister we have never seen a dir or a digil mirifle prime minister or president why is that ileen 4.5 is equal. Somalia since the break down the government in Mogadishu is always a Hawiye dominated government the darood are secondary to that.

Is somalia only hawiye and darood

There are other tribes but they are not allowed to touch leadership other they are threatened with genocides.

On there hand, our last president was samaroon.
