They just started it recently to produce it its a new project they have been working on this , i will not be surprised if those important Tanks were used for this project to.

They probably purchased a license permitting them to produce them domestically. Maybe.

They could be for just actual use remember 200 tanks is nothing compared what Ethiopia needs , Ethiopia has one of the largest Military's in Africa , its not rocket science to produce Weapons all u need is the investment to set up the industry and on top of that u need capable engineers, and great management from the Ministry of defense to do the work but all that can be arranged i think they have been working it even much longer.And wanted to produce Weapons. Ethiopia had allot of T72 tanks way before the last shipment from Ukraine.

What are you talking about what does Somaliland got to do with this OD mentioned Somalia, he said when Somalia gets it act together every one knows Ethiopia is working hard Somalia remains a useless shit hole , when u have troops in Hiiraan troops in Bay and bakool and they want to be deployed to Kismayo to they want to encircle you but you dont know that. And control every aspect of Somalia. Xabashis are smart people if you ask me they know how to exploit your weakness.

I disagree. ethiopian federalism is going to collapse in few years and that will cause huge change habesha will take several years to put their subjects under control, hopefully somalis will take advantage of that transition period. Eritrea Ethiopia relationship could be normalized and that is an other economy challenge for the somalis. things will change in both positive and negative ways.

The hostility between the Eritrea and Ethiopia is good for Somaliland we must make sure Ethiopia uses our ports but we need to upgrade our ports. I doubt Ethiopian federation will collapse there is no resistance to the EPRDF really. Ethiopia monarchistic institution are very strong and aslong as we dont see mutiny in Ethiopia things will be alright.

Ethiopia manufactures small arms like Sudan and they have been doing that since the 80's under Mengistu. He planned to create a defense industry after the 77-78 war because he knew the military aid from the Soviets would end one day unlike Afweyne who was praying to Jesus for military aid.

The only project I know of is a tactical drone project launched with the help of the Israelis.

There are countries with a superior technical know how that do not produce the T-72 and instead import it from Russia so I don't believe Ethiopia is producing these tanks.
