They are dead.....Move onAntijuli wrote:Screw kendrick. He's a sell out. Mofos need to stop gassing him up. I miss the days where hip hop pushed the envelope but now we have niggas like kanye softer than a margarine (blueband). Hip hop is dead. Niggas are the new uncle ruckus. Bring back 2pac, Eazy E, KRS one, Westside connection. 2015 rappers are competing in fashion where the funk do they do that at? Miss me with that soft shit.
Gangster rap and poetic lyrics can get boring real quick..I mean they had their moment back then...Now it's 2015, Hip hop evolved and niggas are on some different shit.....I just don't like when people compare and make extremes that say, you have to pick one side of the fence, or one is better than the other.....I do appreciate lyricism, but I also appreciate trap music....One thing is has over "hip hop" to your standards, is the BEATS......TRAP has that electric sound to their beat, with heavy bass and synthesis...You well damn know you want to jam to that....There is something about tracks with trunk rattling bass with minimal, (and sometimes nonsensical) lyrical content. I might say "I hate wacka flocka" but I would be damn lying if I said "I don't like" doesn't make me shake my nonexistent dreads.......Shit, i walk around bumping 'Bands a make her dance", but on the flip side, If you were to check my phone or iTunes, it's filled with Death, progressive metal and some classic hip hop....
I learned its okay to enjoy both, just to know the difference....... there’s a time and place for all music.....You can't bump to no common, kendrick, or them old gangster raps, with windows down and chilling with your boys....Shit, I rather bump Yo Gotti, Jeezy, Wacka, Gucci mane, lil reese, (Old) TI, etc

lol. Theres alot of real nigga shit you can listen to except it hasn't been commercialized. Southern Music is still hard as fuck but it's probably too ghetto for your sheltered ass. Western hiphop (Eazy E, Snoop Dogg, etc..) and 2pac was the same thing. Their lyrical content was very shocking to many and their music was very polarizing. But good thing for them was that they made it into the mainstream. Record label and Majors decided this was the type of content they wanted to push. That was the only reason why they made it to the national stage. Now these same executives are pushing the same artists you think are "soft". What's my point? There still is rough/grimey hiphop but because it hasn't been commercialized you probably won't like it.Antijuli wrote:Screw kendrick. He's a sell out. Mofos need to stop gassing him up. Hip hop is meaningless now , it use to have a revolutionary element to it , but now its just a bunch of rich ni99as selling ghetto life to a bunch of impressionable young ppl , encouraging them to live a life of crime and to become mindless consumers who only care about material things and sex.
