Even if they were to get independence theres a lot non isaq clans that live in Somaliland that don't want to be of Somaliland as a country. Unless they gather all their isaq territories and get independence (although not realistic) I can't see it happening.

Love you guys though. :sland:
Out of curiosity what percentage do you think the non-Isaaqs make up?
40%
It's no way near that.

Isaaqs make up between 70% and 85% of the population. With the absence of a proper census
I am relying on colonial population surveys, the 1975 Somali census (which is pretty reliable)
and the election results of Somaliland in 1959 which were along clear clan lines.

Wherever the Isaaq end up (recognition or not) the whole of Somaliland and all its
territory will be beholden to us. The "unionist" clans just do not have the numbers to challenge us  :D

Okay didn't know that. If that's the case you guys should put the smaller in number clans in Somaliland in check so the independence can come quicker. :sland:

Bro, all the Daroods that have been tested on this site are unique in all belonging to E-V32 apart from that Daawa character. Their STR's are a closer match to each other than to any other Somali clan so hold your fire, genetics has not yet dismissed the Darood clan's status as a kinship group based on common descent.

Euphoria was under the impression that non-isaaqs make up 40% of the population, and I dont blame her. I just opened up a thread talking about how the daarood, specifically, the dhulbahante, have been successful in controlling the narrative and spreading a lot of misinformation. Isaaqs are no less then 70% of the population in Somaliland haddaanay ka badnayn.
