I heard there is alot construction and development going on Galmudug. Alot of people from Qurbaha are coming back to invest in Mudug. There is also a road being built from Hobyo to Gaalkacyo.
yeah a lot of Qurbo joog are investing their Money in Mudug, me personally i would never invest a $100 in Gaalkacyo, the city will be on the front line when Central State and Puntland fight over Mudug. i am planning to go to Gaalkacyo and warn the Sacad about investing in Gaalkacyo, i would tell them to invest Hobyo and Cadaado instead, because the war will be good for Central state, Gaalkacyo is more likely to be destroyed both North and the South, the place is gonna be Berlin.

Puntland will lose the most since they invested so much in the tiny north Mudug, the larger South Mudug is not well developed except South Gaalkacyo.

after the war when Gaalkacyo and the whole Mudug is liberated Central State will build Gaalkacyo insha allaah.

Puntland were stealing so much land from Sacad since 1995 while Sacad were busy in South Somalia.
Most of you kids haven't being to galkacyo or have any knowledge apart from misguided information you read online. Galkacyo as a city is not split between HG & MJ this is a myth. First of all south Galkacyo is just 1 xaflad that's barely built. The north galkacyo is a functioning city with hospitals, police stations, schools etc. The admin of Galkacyo is controlled by puntland. Nothing comes in and out of galkacyo by road or air without puntland's knowledge. Galmudug is illusion. This is the reality.

300k. Lol. Galjacanyo is smaller than burco togdheer. Even burco hasn't got that much. Somali cities populations are exaggerated.

Galkacyo should be a free city. It is the economic link that links north to south and shared between 3 clans and home to many more.

Bullshit. Galkacyo is at least 200K. I was there, my family lives there and it's not a small city at all.

From the north west to the south, there are cities that share this similar environment, should they be 'free cities' to ?

Menace - Gaalkacyo wa Garsoor iyo Israac. The now 'southern tip' of Gaalkacyo has formed into Baraxley and is today 'managed' by Galmudug state.

There aren't any valid population statistics for any city in somalia. However i believe Galkaayo and Burco has similar populations.

Nice song Galmudug

naa bal ii wad sheekada :snoop: South and North Gaalkacyo has a clear border that was created by the italians, Half of Gaalkacyo plus the Airport belongs to Sacad Siciid. puntland thieves have crossed that borderline while the Sacad were busy in South Somalia, but today Sacad are taking their land back bit by bit, they are waiting for the new Maamul Goboleed in Central Somalia, once this Maamul is created i am sure Puntland will return to the Nugaal border.
Mudug and Galgaduud belongs to Hawiye, Mareexaan and Dir.

there is a flight from Muqdisho to Gaalkacyo everyday, also Xaafada Garsoor is Sacad Xaafad, believe me Sacad lives in every xaafad in Gaalkacyo, you should visit Gaalkacyo sometime abaayo to see if HabarGidir lives in Gaalkacyo or not.

Hobyo is open and Central State of Somalia is on it's way.

R.I.P Puntland.
