Somalis in Stockholm are very liberal but they hide it from their families. They lead double lives but I like this community.

Amsterdam is liberal too but Somalis in Amsterdam don't live together. They are all spread out. They don't only have Somali friends but others. Somalis in Amsterdam have few Somali friends. They are forced to talk to everyone.

I been to over 20 countries. I've seen the Somali communities around the world, the worst being reer UK

I've been to the American south but saw only 1 Somali there.

Abdi, I think we're discussing the most successful Somalis. Like the ones who are most educated, have professional careers, low crime rates, low ratse of welfare, and strong families.

We're not discussing how liberal some Somalis are.

I've been to Dallas twice, and the Somalis there are extremely successful. A large home with two cars and two professional parents is typical over there. Somali parents send their kids to private school and their crime rates are very low.

Texas is the greatest.

I've noticed that the Somalis in Scandinavia are very irreligious, with many of them openly stating that they are Atheists. Many of them drink, almost none of them fast or pray, and they have a wide circle of Ajnaabi friends.

There are still some good Somali families in Norway and Sweden, but I'm only mentioning general trends here.

It would be Paradise for Abdi Johnson and Plaatinum.

The worst would be Toronto, particularly Etobicoke

You're right. My lady is from Denmark and she's agnostic And I met many irreligious people from there.

Not really. Sweden has the highest acceptance rate of Somali asylum applicants. So you will have TONS of FOBs. Especially Southern people who have been living under Al Shabaab (i.e. extra religious).

I am not sure about Scandinivia now but 23 years things were different in Scandinivia. Those specially in Norway and Sweden were doing fine. There were big communities in Norway, Sweden and Denmark back in 80's. Hard workers and they had decent life but the tax there is very high. Everyone were sending their kids to Quran schools " Malcaama ". I even know some who sent their kids to the rural areas in Yemen to receite Quran because they couldn't send them to Somaliland at that time.

Dubai

You must be kidding me.

Since when illegal taxi drivers and cheap prostitutes can be classified as the best dispora?!!

Apart from possessing few dirac or jewellery shops, low cost half star hotels and filty restuarents most of Somalis in Dubai, except those who were there before the civil war, don't even have residence visa.

For your information, you won't be able to stay in Gulf states unless you work or study.

Somalis in Riyadh and the eastern regions in Saudi are doing very good. Almost everyone there have Saudi passport and there are among the elite in Saudi. Same goes to Doha. As for Kuwait and Abu Dhabi they are doing pretty good although very few of them were naturalized yet you could find 3 physicians or 5 Engineers at the same family there.

In Europe I'll vote for Cardiff, Wales. Very religious community although they been there a century and half ago.

In Asia Pacific the best community can be found in Perth, Australia.

As for North America, the best community is in Washington DC and San Diego.

does it have to be a big city ? I think it is better to name smaller towns where a sizable Somali diaspora all share a single masjid and practically all know each other one way or another.
