Because Somalia is not a multi ethnic state, we only need to expell the 5% of foreigners living in Somalia and this includes the "Jareerweyne" who certainly are not and never will be Somali. Barawe and Reer Xamar people are unique and are only mixed Somalis so expelling them is not necessary and they would also not necessarily pollute the Somali blood as they share similar features, only the colour is different.
And it doesn't matter if we change the name, they are still foreigners in our country, don't try to make Somalia into a United States where we will have race problems or any European country with loads of foreigners. Somalia should stay 99% pure, that 1% is reserved for people who will do business with Somalis and other stuff etc.

Substitute the Jareerweynes with Oromos, and everyone here will be happy about that.

I like the name, despite the land having diverse history it's united by a single ethnic group which also lives in all corners of the country. My only gripe with the name is the conflation it brings with the name of the Somali ethnic group. There's no such as thing as "Somalian" and naturalized citizens are called Somalis.

I stumbled upon it while reading peer-reviewed studies. A cohort of students from Somalia living in Pakistan were sampled. Most turned out to be ethnic Somalis, yet there were a nontrivial number of them that clustered with the Luhya (obviously Jareer Somalians).

The genetic distance between normal Somalis and Jareer 'Somalis' is massive.

They are Bantus with minor Nilotic. Most coastal Tanzanians are like them.

Only the highland Bantus like Kikuyus & Tutsis have large amounts of Cushitic.
