Succinctly put
Basra- wrote:BlackVelvet wrote:We've all noticed things about people that have throw up warning signs. Be it something they've done, said or just a vibe you get when you're around them. When you experience that, you're faced with the choice; trust your instincts and cut your losses before any real damage is done or give them the benefit of the doubt because hey, innocent till proven guilty right?
So then have you ever given someone the benefit of the doubt and then seen that you were right in doing so?
Or do you always end up kicking yourself?

I think u r full of yourself. That's all. U r not genuine about your motives for giving the person a benefit of doubt. I think you were getting some sort of benefit from the said person, and maybe that benefit ended. Now, u r venting and kinda telling us a story we cant ---cough---excuse me-- a story I cannot Gallup!

That is a very interesting theory. Not the full of myself part, that one's obvious but are we more inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt when they have something to offer...I hadn't thought of it from that perspective

It depends. If I get good vibes from someone (body language, facial expressions)...then I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
It's a case by case analysis

Im generally tend to lean to the safe side, call me paranoid but i dislike entrusting anything to people whom i dont know well.
However i do consider myself a good judge of character.

I usually always give people the benefit of the doubt but once they show me themselves im outty.
I'm an observer and my instincts are almost always on point but I still give people a chance, I never get close though.. that takes time.
