Why did the administration even allow for name changes in the first place? Tell them to make a new nick with their old username written in their location for a few weeks so people know who they are. They should all be given their old nicknames back.

I have been trying to drill some logic into a newbie's head, if I had known that he was a former KKK wannabe, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Why not make a sticky thread about people who changed their old names and add their new names, therefore we would know who we are engaging or who we decided not to engage. What is the use of putting them on ignore if they could change their name?

Just use your ditective skill to find out who they are, you can know this by their style of writing and other little give aways, people have a right to change their names and not to be identified, what would the point of changing names if people know your old nick. There need to be a degree of freedom and anarchy for this place to be fun
