The only thing that keeps most qabiils together is the threat posed by so called shisheeye who supposedly represent an existential threat. Never mind the hundred million predatory colonial power next door, it is the Somali qabiil near you that you have to protect yourself against. My clan is definitely not threatened by two of the largest nations/economies on the continent who definitely don't already oppress other Somalis.


It is this unique and unenviable trait/consequence of Somali qabyaalad that has and will continue to divide the Somali people, keeping them from their rightful place as the natural masters of the Horn.

I learnt the ones who engage in faan and throw around terms like "royalty" and "nasab" are the furthest from those things. There are also a lot of fake nationalists that hide behind pan-somalism and Somaliweyne but are really just crabs in a bucket who want other Somalis suffer like them.
