Don't really care for modern rap. I listen to instrumentals. More of a Jazz fan.

I discovered top 40 music during high school.

No one in my house put on music or watched music channels. I am sure they listened to it in private with their ear phones and outside of the house.

I remember only watching my favorite TV shows like the Simpsons and Family Guy when my parents were out. Most television programs were banned in the house.
:? When they saw an unfamiliar TV show, they would sit with us sometimes and act friendly asking us about our day. Within a few minutes, they would either leave the couch or say "I dont want to see this on ever again".

Anyone who says they can listen to rap music in front of their hoyoo is lying.

I am,

Big time hip hop head, in grade school I performed my own rap song for talent show. I even did the C-Walk (when it was the thing) and teachers loved it :pac:

Yes I did listen to it at home, my mom even though religious was never on my case. We were allowed to watch anything that didn't have sexual content. None of us cared for that adult stuff so we stayed watching action, comedy, kung fu movies etc

Yeah man, those moments on the sofa were awkward as hell.
"Anyone who says they can listen to rap music in front of their hoyoo is lying" I agree.
