I think any nation would be shocked at the deaths. Ethiopians aren't more united than Somalis but when you are country under one government than its easier to have one voice to the world.

Without the backing of Western states in a misguided effort to "stabilize"the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia would collapse within a week.
