I didn't get the joke,

what does Jamaame and Jikaago means?
Jamaame is a city in the South of Somalia, where a lot of the Jareers reside.

Jikaago is Chicago. Basically he's saying that Jareers are the same, whether they're in Somalia or the USA
Got it.

Some jareerweyne from jana ale was working on our farm. Dude got sick. and no health care here in our country. It was probably something that could have been treatable in the west. Anyway the guys arms and legs became all swollen and the doctors ku sheeg diagnosed him with heart failure.

The guy was laying in a bed unconscious and tuug baa usoo galay oo saacadiis na ka furay. People are heartless. The way he ended up here was the he was originally conscripted as a soldier and forced to fight the snm 30 years ago and he just settled here afterwards.

Dude died five days ago I watched as he gasped his last breaths. It was the first time I seen someone die and I won't forget. I helped carry his mayt to the fridge. Shit's real out here.

Nothing to laugh about, he's a very hateful man and makes me uncomfortable at times.

This has links with Tanzanian Bantu communities who teach these dances to brides so that they don't feel shy on their wedding night. I guess they stopped it and just chose to dance for money on wedding nights which is kind of sad. I wish they had more of a voice in Somali politics, I would love to hear their views on the country. They are an agricultural powerhouse and they liberated Somalia from the Italians....they should have more to say on the country than these idiotic clannish politicians who just divide Somalis further. I would join the Somali Army if Bantu and Madhibaan joined forces to lead the country.

X-Playa. Who says we all dance niiko? Some people just adopted it for fun. We do dhaanto (a lot of us are from Ogaden region too because there was no border and we're nomads), buraanbur also has a dance you know and thats what we play at weddings.

Madhibaan are Somali and should not be compared to Jareerweyn who are in no way similar to them in any way.

Ilaahay ha u naxariisto.

I really like these people. I remember in Hargeisa, a hardworking reer Shabeelle man was fixing something in my house. I was gone for 4-5h and nothing was stolen. Now compare that to the filthy Oromos who beg on the streets and steal shit from people. This dude lives in a Jiingad house with his family, working 15h a day, saving enough money so he could rent a proper house. Dadku kala nasabsan!

Even a Somali dude would steal things in my house if I left him alone for 4-5 hours but with the Somali dude you can GPS his ass with qabiiil and manhandle him and force him to return the things he stole or have him end up in the notorious jail in central Hargeisa.

Why would you even hire a Jareer? Support your local economy and people over a foreigner.
