So we should forget her clanist background and record? How scholorships were allocated on the basis of clan and not academical achievement?

Shame on you. I've known Zam Zam since I was 10 years old. They should write a book about the espionage she did for the SNM against the faqaash regime in the mid 1980's. Allow no dhawr Zam Zam.
She was my dad's neighbour growing up, and was close friends with my eedo through school and uni; and even they say she's crooked af

Siciid85 nin macquul ah baad ahayd maxa kugu dhacay?!! You could hate or like anyone you want but that should not make you criticize her/him. Mrs. Zamzam is doing good job so far. And as Xiis1928 said she did much to Somaliland pre 1991. Kindly show some respect to SNM veterans.

Anything to proof your allegation?

@ X.Playa

Some of Somaliland officials knew the real problem and would like to solve it but none of what you say can be implemented unless Somaliland government hold big awareness campaigns to the nation. Unfortunately, there is no state owned companies in Somaliland which is really bad. Neither Muj. Mohamed Hashi nor Mr. Abdulaziz Samaale talked about using Somaliland Shilling instead of US Dollar so we should give some credits to Mrs. Zamzam.

Her collegues in the government told me about how she diverted funds to her own private school as the minister of education (a clear conflict of interest), not to mention her nepotism and corruption. Just recently, it was reported that she said she would fund an airport exclusive to her clan because of the disputes in southern Hargeisa. Muuse Biixi responded and said that Hargeisa will only have 1 airport.

Being part of the SNM doesn't excuse anything. It doesn't excuse the fact that Siilaanyo is useless or that Zamzam is corrupt.

No need to argue guys. End of the day she is naag and naago are useless in politics. Mid kasta waxay ka warwarta labadeda qoys, ninka ku haya, the few cubs under her naaso and the shandad.

Naag is naturally capable of only supporting those so national agendas are not for them. We had one naag here in Ethiopia too and she refused to vacate the national palace after the death of the PM Ato Meles Zenawi thinking its her own house. That's naag. Tomorrow Zamzam will think the central bank is her house too. Bal ka sara.

To be honest with you Silanyo is weak when he names naago to ministerial positions. If the opposition was strong and played Abdulaziz Samale and Muse Bihi to their advantage, today SL ragnimo would have voted Silanyo out.

ninkii iska hadlayaaba hayska hadlo ee naagaha Somaliland dalka yagaa masruufa inay maamulaan oo 50% iyo ka badanba qabtaan talada dalka way u qalmaan oo ilaahay igu ogyahay. samsam iyo wasiiru dawlaheeduba waa masuuliyiinta ugu wadanisan. wax xun oo aan ka arkayna ma jirto haba yaraatee imika eedaynta xildiid uu leeyahay samsam baa tidhi habar awal airport kale haloo sameeyo waa been website ka burco online qoray oo aan sal iyo raad toona lahayn lamana hayo wax muuqaal ama maqal cod ah oo arintaa lagu xaqiijin karo. I don't believe inay zamzam waxaas afkeeda ka odhan karto, mana aaminsani inay caruurta dalka u kala eexatay berigay wasaarada waxbarashada joogtay.

Thais Zamzam has to do the followings:

1- ban all private currency changers, and make Somaliland central bank do the exchange. This will bring millions of hard currency to the government, these millions of dollars can be used to creat jobs by investing in infrastructure projects and also will stabilize Somaliland shilling and bring inflation down.

2- force Somaliland traders to keep some of their earnings in the country ( central bank) and stop the money flow outside the country. Encourage these traders to build small manufacturing companies, little things like shoe and leather factory, milk and cheese, clothing and garments ( they could import cheap cotton from the rest of africa and make their on cloths) you can't creat jobs when everything we consume comes out of the country, it's ridiculous.

3- ban private banking, and let the central bank act both as deposit bank ( where people can do daily banking, saving, cheque cashing, and foreign currency exchange) and as central bank that runs regular monetary policy ( creat jobs, fights inflation and issue government bonds).

These simple steps is enough to make Somaliland self sufficient at least as far as government budget, jobs and inflation levels. But bare in mind in order to do the above, Somalilanders have to ignore what aid agencies tell them, what economic development think tank tell them, world bank and IMF affiliates like UsaAid, all these groups work to make us poor and dependent forever, their sole aim is to advance neoliberlism and so called free market both benefits western oligarchs and their 1% economic interest.

But in order to do this one has to bring to power a government that will crush the rich oligarchs and work for the interest of the common man, the poor and working class somalilander have to know where their interest as class lays, unfortunately even poor Somali apes will fight tooth and nail for Dahabshiil, indho Deero, Geele Arab, khadar ambassador, ina Afdiinle, Daryeel and the rest of the rich out of tribalism, die for the same people that are the sources of their misery.

BTW, why are women in politics? If I was president, I would completely sack all females in parliament, ministerial positions and party positions - and that includes the likes of Cirro, Faisal Ali Waraabe, Xirsi Gaab as well.
