This is why where states provide a safety net for single mothers, society isn't so rigid, and economic pressures are relieved, you have high amounts of divorce. Just look at the successful west, over 50% divorce compared to other parts of the world. Can't fight reality.
2 points I can see you've raised however:
Firstly there is no way of knowing what goes on in people's relationships, what role love plays in the marriage and where it falls
Secondly in the west the culture differs greatly from the rest of the world. It's not that once you love someone life becomes rainbows and daisies, there is still work involved. People in the West don't have that social pressure, that sense of community encouraging them to make it work and reminding them all the reasons why they should stay married. Once the word divorce comes up everyone around them rallies in to support their decision whereas in most other contexts that would be the cue to intervene and help them solve the problem and save their marriage
