Nothing good comes from having one of our own join the force. It is fraternity that operate on discrimination and telling ppl that '"fit the description"

That's the twisted mentality that has kept us Somali-Canadians back over the years. SMH

In a time where we see Indian, Chinese, and other minority groups become Police Officers....it becomes imperative to have Somalis also join the Police Force. We Somali-Canadians are over 200,000 people strong, yet we only have a handful of cops and this is absolutely shameful.

It's not something to be shameful about. The force encourages a racist environment and it doesn't matter how well they represent the minority it doesn't change attitudes of upper brass.
