How about forcing repatriation fo the the somalis living in other countries in the rest of the african continent? I understand that there are a lot of somalis in SA for example. Should they all be made to go back?

Also what if the other countries to the north do not want to be associated with you in this way?

Also if the somali wars flare up again then what? Should the world step in to take somali refugees again....then we start the cycle all over again?

So many questions. I think you should build your country back into a thriving entity and then you can put up walls and do all kinds of things around your border that would make it known that you don't want to be associated with the rest of africa. Hey if japan can do it then you can as well.

FYI, there are thousands of Kenyan and other African professionals already living in Somalia, including in cities like Hargeisa, Garowe, and Mogadishu. If they have work permits and a visa, then why can't they stay in the country? What's the big deal?

There are already thousands of Somali businessmen living in countries like Angola and Uganda. So why not have Angolan and Ugandan businessmen live in Somalia?

No one is suggesting that we Somalis isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. And most people here would agree that we should create/sustain good relations with other African countries. We just find it disconcerting that we are grouped in with people who we share little in common with, solely based on the fact that we share a continent. No one ever suggests that all Asians group together simply because they share the same vast continent, yet people insist the same for Africa.
