And by friends I mean you guys are close and hang out with outside of work/school. Me for example, I have a diverse group of friends, from Arabs to Desis to Madows to Koonfurians, but I have zero cadaan friends. And today I think I know why.

I share absolutely nothing in common with cadaan people lol. Today I was at this BBQ at my boss's house, and all these people could talk about was drinking and drinking, while drinking. Nacalaa the only non-alcoholic drinks there were juice boxes Waaba ka sii daran were that half of the people brought their dogs that were licking everyone. I would have been the odd one out had it not been for this Zimbabwean PhD student whom I spent the majority of the time discussing African siyaasi

I have no regular cadaan best friends but I end up in cadaan house almost every night after club. Sometimes I get into big trouble. from kacsi jab and to physical asualt. the worst kacsi jab is when I took a taxi with drunk village girl whose her dad is in the farm house. and I didn't know where the hell I am in.

Btw I wasn't referring to having cadaan acquaintances or using cadaans for networking purposes, was just wondering if people here shared the same views with regards to how it's difficult to have close relationships with them due to their lifestyle

the gambler, I kicked with the losers sometimes too, this guy is the close friend who didn't make it, gamble, khat, weed and you name it, he does it, my own charity case, I try to lift up the brothers one at a time.

the weirdo, this is the son of a gun who made it but acts like he is better than everyone, arrogant as shit, hyper and easily gets into fights with strangers, but he pays for shit, I am his only Somali friend apparantly.
