I put the onus on Somalis. How is it possible to be the only ethnic group in the world to be successful everywhere else but your homeland? There is something fundamentally wrong with governance of Somalis in Somali lands.

Yeah because we weren't colonized like every other African country, right? We cling onto Mohamed Hassan but he was defeated at the end of the day, the British clearly weren't giving us all they had and once they decided to get serious, they easily took us out through their technological superiority. Swords and a couple guns vs Airplanes. What does that say about us? That we didn't have that technological capability? And even if you accept Mohamed Hassan, he was clearly an outlier and 90% of our country had been easily defeated.Basra- wrote:effect on Apartheid my Futo! Right now I am reading a book about an 18th century slave ship called Zong--it had like 150 slaves, the fews dozen white crew decided to throw away half of the slaves in order to get an insurance scam on the shores. U mean-- to tell me--while the adoon slaves watched their fellow brothers being thrown, none of them rose up and freaking fight the weak 18th century build cadaan? I read their fear was--they didn't know how to captain the ship! Loooooooooooooooooooooool
We ain't Ethiopians dude, they at least can be arrogant because they had the foresight to see what was about to happen and geared up for it and put up one hell of a fight although in the end they too got colonized (although I guess Habesha's like to claim it was an occupation).
Re: SOUTH AFRICA ASKS SOMALIS TO SHARE THEIR SUCCESS OR FACE HARASSMENT
Where are we successful? The 500,000 of us scattered around North America and Europe aren't really that successful. We have low employment figures and low educational figures. There are a lot of successes, just look at Karmel-square Mall but that doesn't account anywhere near for most Somalis, Somalis in Minnesota are generally actually doing one of the worst. Outside of Europe you have Yemen (200,000), UAE (50,000) and South Africa (40,000). The majority of Somalis in yemen are really poor and not really doing anything just like most Yemen, the whole country is a mess. UAE I don't know but yeah we're thriving in only really South Africa.Jabuutawi wrote:I put the onus on Somalis. Point taken. Undeniably, and relatively speaking, Somalis are better off outside the Horn than within the Horn. I can speak of North America where you have access to excellent education, healthcare and jobs -- based on competency and meritocracy in lieu of the usual "skills" of tribalism and nepotism -- and achieve anything you set your mind to it.Yuvun wrote:Where are we successful? Lol, yeah I'm not Somali even though I can read Somali. Taking this Somalis are homogeneous thinking a little too far, don't you think? Caadi iska dig, walaalo. Although I will admit that I like to be a little contrarian and provide differing opinions, disrupt the echo-chamber.RoobleAlWaliid wrote:I doubt Yuvun is Somali. Only succes in South Africa kulaha. Somalis = micro-nations that were rarely on the same page, unless the cause was based on - faith or qabil uniting them. Military science isn't their thing (collectively). You need more than a fierce spirit to win a fight, you also need organization and unity. Moving on now.Yuvun wrote:Yeah because we weren't colonized like every other African country, right? I guess that history seminar you attended neglected one crucial fact. That Ethiopia collaborated with the colonizers.
Re: SOUTH AFRICA ASKS SOMALIS TO SHARE THEIR SUCCESS OR FACE HARASSMENT
Yup just like most African countries, colonist exploited the in-fighting to their advantage.Sophisticate wrote:Somalis = micro-nations that were rarely on the same page, unless the cause was based on - faith or qabil uniting them. Who denied that? They collaborated to their advantage (by aligning themselves with competing countries whereas many Somali groups aligned themselves to their overall disadvantage just so they could hold onto some precious title that was stripped of most it's power), they were focused on the bigger picture and did whatever they could to preserve their empire even if it meant making some sacrifices. Pragmatism > pride.jalaaludin5 wrote:I guess that history seminar you attended neglected one crucial fact. That Ethiopia collaborated with the colonizers.

You want to talk about Africa being colonized as if it was the only region in the world to undergo this.Yuvun wrote:Yeah because we weren't colonized like every other African country, right? Asian countries---including China and India---also went through colonization, and their experiences were far more brutal than ours. Yet you conveniently ignore this harsh truth in order to fit your narrative.

Yuvun is a shameless liar. I personally have Somali relatives who have become extraordinarily successful doing business in Uganda, Angola, Zambia, Kenya, Mozambique and Tanzania....among other countries.RoobleAlWaliid wrote:I doubt Yuvun is Somali. It's clear this Yuvun character has an agenda.

So do I, my Aunty owns three store in Eastleigh Mall. Anecdotes don't prove anything, stats do. And the number of Somalis in Uganda, Angola, Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania are all pretty small. Italy (7,000) has more Somalis than them.Kaafiye wrote:Nope, that's not how I talk. Did you not see how the person I quoted was trying to insult fellow Africans? Actually uses that disgusting n-word to insult them. And I'm merely pointing out that by her logic, we should also get insulted because we were colonized and technologically inferior.Yuvun wrote:You want to talk about Africa being colonized as if it was the only region in the world to undergo this.

I like to comment on things that are of interests to me and being an opposing voice, just cause I'm not nodding in agreement doesn't mean I have some secret agenda lol.

Ethiopians were OG's, I hate the legacy but you can't help but respect the hustle.

False equivalence to compare racist rhetoric and killing and maiming of immigrants from Congo,Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ethiopia and countless other african countries. Somalia is not an economic powerhouse yet people are flocking to it make their riches. And we are not murdering and burning Chinese Acupuncture stores or Syrian Dentists down out of jealously. And if we were doing that....guess what that title having a low iq being ignorant and being called animals would fit.Yuvun wrote:What's the one of the richest, most stable African country? Botswana, a country that borders South Africa. What is happening is obviously despicable and should be condemned but this doesn't call for adopting racist rhetoric. This same racist rhetoric that you're using is being directed at us, do you know how many people view us just like that because of the civil war, piracy and Al-shabab? We're not exactly an economically prosperous stable country, are we? Say what you want about South Africa but by every single metric it's still miles ahead of us. Stop with the disparaging remarks dude, Eritrea/Somalia/Ethiopia aren't exactly beacons of success whereas the biggest development in Africa these days seems to be coming from West Africa.mahoka wrote:heheheheh lets all laugh at those idiots who said that hellhole of aids pit will be better when the whites stop ruling. these monkeys are good for 2 things, aids spreading and mindless violence. the fact a monkey woman claiming to be some sort of a minister is telling businesses to share their ideas for being successful show you the IQ of these sub humans. We need to stop being so soft on these animals in the horn of Africa, send them back to their lands in south and west africa
You can criticize someone without generalizing the group that they come from, it's so disappointing how many people here are making comments on IQ when our IQ is said to be 68 and Ethiopia's 69 yet South Africa is 77, Nigeria is 84, Zimbabwe is 82 and Namibia is 74. http://www.photius.com/rankings/nationa ... ranks.html
If you buy into this IQ nonsense, you're ironically propagating your genetic inferiority.
Re: SOUTH AFRICA ASKS SOMALIS TO SHARE THEIR SUCCESS OR FACE HARASSMENT
Bro, to these depraved SJW's, it's like Black Africans are immune from criticism and bear no responsibility for ever being wrong. They would not hesitate to criticize White Europeans for their various actions, along with Arabs, Somalis, Indians and other groups. But as soon as you say one thing negatively regarding Madows, all hell breaks loose. It's very odd and I struggle to understand what their infatuation with them is.Prlnce wrote:False equivalence to compare racist rhetoric and killing and maiming of immigrants from Congo,Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ethiopia and countless other african countries.
