I put the onus on Somalis. How is it possible to be the only ethnic group in the world to be successful everywhere else but your homeland? There is something fundamentally wrong with governance of Somalis in Somali lands.

Point taken. Undeniably, and relatively speaking, Somalis are better off outside the Horn than within the Horn. Who denied that? They collaborated to their advantage (by aligning themselves with competing countries whereas many Somali groups aligned themselves to their overall disadvantage just so they could hold onto some precious title that was stripped of most it's power), they were focused on the bigger picture and did whatever they could to preserve their empire even if it meant making some sacrifices. So do I, my Aunty owns three store in Eastleigh Mall. Anecdotes don't prove anything, stats do. And the number of Somalis in Uganda, Angola, Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania are all pretty small. Italy (7,000) has more Somalis than them.
