Btw compared to other countries, Somalia/Somaliland does treat its women very well. People look at me funny when I tell them women are in politics, and are able to drive/vote/hold position of power etc.

Sienna and Idman, there are no haters OR donkeys here.
Everyone is happy to see progress and a different side of Xamar. Hargeisa is safe, alhamdulillah, however we have a LONG way to go before we look like that little strip.
Geo sweetie, I'm good walaal! Hope you are as well.

Mogdisho allaw dhawr

, Hargeisa Allaw dhawr

, Bosaso Allaw dhawr,

Djiabouti Allaw dhawr

.....Come on guys, its kinda sad what you do here. walaahi..Aduunka wax indho adaygnimada iyo is indho tirka ka gunnimo badan ma jirto...Dont be putting down Mogadisho, its been through a lot already and should always be given the benefit of the doubt, for the simple fact that its recovering from years of misery, By the Grace of the almighty, may it continue its recovery and be back to its former glory and much more Inshs allah.
....Any and every development is welcome and should be proud of....That being said, Xamarawis need to also tone it down, the whole post and how it's presented/written reeks of faan faan iyo isyara tus tusnimo! It is not doing any justice to the message on hand.
The whole philosophy of " unnuka leh" should be totally eradicated and deleted from the mindset and lingo of certain pple...If the idea that Mogdisho should be and is the capital city of Somalia or Somalis in general is anything to go bye, then you shouldnt be treating it as your own little tuulo and Should not be used as a fadhikudirir ammo!

Tbh I'd say the current mayor is doing a much better job than the old one. But with limited resources and dealing with a council of crazy old men, there's only so much he can do unfortunately

Mogadishu is ahead of many Western countries when it comes to woman's rights.
job agencies are popping in mogadishu, and woman get first priority.
So women's rights is female supremacy? Why don't they work to equalize the job market so it's fair for both men and women? Why not prioritize creating fields where no gender gets first priority!
Women's rights have become very self serving lazy movement where society is expected to hand stuff over to women on a silver platter rather than for them to work for it like normal people. Why? Becuz they want to push this fiction of victimization and female oppression!
Get out of here!! I rather have Xalimos who work hard and take the initiative and tell the administrations to institutionalize their rights!
Not succumb to this self victimization and the man hating and the cultural Marxism!
I would rather have you not endorse this victim oppression bravado these xalimo feminists spew all the time in which they adopted from these corrupt ideologs

Although we are better than Arabs and Persians in how we treat women, we are still patriarchal society who gives importance to males. This initiative seems to address the gap in institutional and big company employment. I would hire a somali female candidate out of qualifying applicants simply because she is a female after qualification. I have seen what women can do for us Somalis. They kept our families together.
