Who's we? Aren't you an Oromo from Ethiopia? I don't know why you're always butting into things that have nothing to do with you. Somalia is for Somalis, stick to your internal squabbles with the Amhara and the Tigre.WaaliCas wrote:Shia are very peaceful Muslims and we need to promote Somalia as part-Shia part-Salafi country while Somaliland should be fully Suufi state.
In the near future there should be timoweyn President in SL with the full afro hair.
Before the Sultanate of Oman invaded Somalia, Kenyan coast and Tanzania----those regions were dominated by Shia.
The consensus from Sunni scholars is the Zaydi Shia agree with Sunni aqeedah 90%. The Zaydi Shia does not loathe Khalid Omar Bin Kahttab (ra). In fact they follow the first 4 khalifs. However, they disagreed with Mu'awiya.Jabuutawi wrote:There is no similarity between Shia and Sunni. They pray 3 times (combine Maghreb and Isha), they prostrate to a pebble as they rest their heads on the floor. Another difference is the position of their hands. Put too much emphasize on Ali and Hussein. They loathe Omar bin Khatib. There are other differences, minor, but differences nonetheless.
Question: The Houthi rebels in Yemen, currently under military bombardment by an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia, are followers of the Zaydi branch of Shia Islam. What do they believe, and how are they different from other Muslims?
- Zaydi Shia in Yemen
Answer: The two main branches of Islam - Sunni and Shia - differ in their beliefs about political and spiritual leadership among other things. All Shia Muslims believe that the first leaders (imams) after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) should have come from his household.
The majority of Shia Muslims are known as "twelvers," as they trace a line of 12 imams starting with Imam Ali, the Prophet Muhammad's son-in-law. They believe that these imams were divinely-inspired and infallible, following a direct father-son bloodline. They believe that the twelfth and final imam disappeared from earth and they are awaiting his return. Those who hold this belief form the majority of Shia Muslims, especially in Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon.
Zaydi, on the other hand, are named for Zayd, a grandson of Husain bin Ali. They reject many of the subsequent imams, reject the idea that imams are infallible, and reject the tenet that the imamate must pass from father to son. Many scholars indicate that these differences put them closer to Sunni Islam in their theology.
The Zaydi form a small minority of Shia Muslims, and today they are virtually all located in Yemen. For over 1,000 years, they held power in Yemen through a ruling dynasty that was overthrown barely 50 years ago.
Since the 1962 revolution which established a republic in Yemen, the Zaydi have continued to be integrated into local politics.
The Houthis are a smaller insurgency group of Zaydis that started out as a youth revival movement in the early 1990s. In recent years, they have been involved with further clashes with the central government. Not all Zaydis support them.

This is the organization that is featured in the video for OPSalam, You got quite a story there. When I first heard about shiasm I asked one of my cousins what it was, LOL he replied ignorant people that don't nothing about islam haha...nd yu no how children work sometimes you tell dem to stay away from things they wanna know more about it...it just led me der..one day couple of my older cousins became shia and there was so much fuss in my family, and soon after everything settled down with all the arguements I started hearing more about shiasm. Moved in with them heard more and more, so me becoming a shia was more of an influence but it did take a bit of reading to decide that this was the right way for me and Alhamdulilah now I'm trying to hold tight to the rope of Allah SWT although sometimes I may go off track, but alhamdulilah Allah is most forgiving. Insha'Allah i pray more of somalis see the truth in the Ahlulbayt and board the ship of the True Islam.

its funny you mention takfiri, ask a shia what they think about abu bakr, omar, and uthman. according to them they have all left the fold of islam. some even make takfeer of bilal ibn rabbah because they felt he didn't support Ali as 1st khilaafa.DR-YALAXOOW wrote:warsheekh then your a Takfiiri saaxiib...
