The pictures tell a different story. I see many Somalis, have you even clicked the links? Somalis are one of the most generous people. In my local mosque the men & women were very active in raising funds for Ramadan, even the Imam praised their efforts. Yes the donations of some can be limited but that's only because they are also looking after hoardes of very destitute relatives. Relatives should come first, even the Qur'an says that. We send millions in remittances every year to Somalia, how's that for paying charity in hordes?

Aun Bashir Osman is a very close relative of mine and unfortunately because of the distance I never knew him personally but knew his sister Idil Osman that worked for VOA Somali, he comes from a very remarkable family. I pray Samir and Imaan for his family and friends and Rahma for him.

Allah yarhamah. ramadankan, dad ka dintay ba batay , mise anika awal maqli jirin. wallah at least i went 6 janazes this ramadan. i dont remember previous ramadan, i even went or heard one in my neighbourhood.
