How can we give skills to our people rather exporting jobs to Ethiopians and Asians?

Has Petroleum now has 4-station between Jigjigayare to Maqaxida-inanta. Countless others across hargeysa.

There is huge project starting between buurta-kalajeexan to maqaxida inanta. The equipment is already there. Silanyo's daughter also owns huge blocks facing the main road. At least three huge Hangers are under consruction

The economic-exit corridor of Somaliland is being dominated by the Eastern hot blooded nomads.

Togwajale Domination is in full swing by a joint Togdheer + Sool alliance.

From the West there is a Borame + Gabiley alliance Inching there way towards Maroodi Jeex.

Lastly there is a eastern Maroodijeex confiscation by reer Berbera.

Sheikh Madar AUN Left a "WARNING" to residents of hargeysa " When Hargeysa becomes filled with a people you do not recognize you will know it is time to migrate out of hargeysa" Something similar.

Jusr the other I was involved in discussion about the diaspora that moved back to their native land, and someone mentions how the I and H (no surprise that topic took a clan direction) make up the majority of the diaspora returning to their homeland.

I had to agree.
Laxaullah! issaq n hawiye make the majority move back to their native land? Hahaha

as if they sit at all the airports n point of entries asking every comer qoloma tahay?

Uqdada qabiilka wax walbo wey kaa yeersiin

This is another level of qabiiliosis most of us will never reach
You can kinda tell judging by the responses you get when you ask someone where they're headed. When I was flying to Berbera, I only met one family that was going elsewhere (he was taking a connection flight to Bosaso), the rest were driving/taking the bus to Hargeisa.

Even when people say they're taking a trip to the motherland, they're almost always going to either Hargeisa or Xamar

live is better back home if you have a good business plan or reliable supply of cash from your western bank account.

good business plans include

1.Energy: this sector is the most potential and the most needed. any Energy related material is valuable back home. from Solar or wind power systems to cooking and showering Appliances.

2. Farming: If you have any basic skills of farming or agriculture with a bit management skills you can make money back home. we have huge land where even the governments are begging you to invest.

3. Fishing: If there stupid people we are the definition of it. can you imagine I have seen a Ugandan teaching reer berbera how to do fishing lool. Somalis have the longest coastline from Djibouti to lower jubba yet we are far behind uganda a landlocked community who have never seen the ocean. if the little lake in uganda have larger fishing sector compare to the whole Somali peninsula then you must be stupid to overlook The wealth beneath your own coastal tuulo.

When most people are travelling to Puntland or Bosaso for that matter, they take the plane from Dubai to Berbera and then to Mogadishu and then a connecting flight to Bosaso. It is much easier to go to Mogadishu or Hargeisa than anywhere in Puntland because there were no real airports for international flights coming from Dubai or Addis. The trip from the US to Puntland used to mean 2 days of non-stop flying discouraging many people. This will change completely by next year when two real airports will have been completed in Garowe and Bosaso. Things will change drastically because this will mean you can take a plane from Chicago to Dubai and then from Dubai to Bosaso, cutting travel time in half.

I just don't get it. Somalis in the diaspora will work in any job cleaning offices, driving buses, barbershop, even sweeping the streets just to send it to their family back home who think hairdressing is beneath them. Somalis back home need to realise that the vast majority of jobs in Africa are menial jobs...unless they're already training in something else or work elsewhere, I'd say drop the attitude and learn a craft or two...you can save and open your own barbershop eventually if you work hard enough/family abroad see your hard work and help you out....thats how people get ahead, by starting at the bottom. The Ethiopians love their country, they sell us khat, join AMISOM and build homes with the money and now they've taken all the basic jobs too? The money will leave Somaliland and go to Ethiopia...what a waste of money/bad for the economy. I wish I could go back home and train some beauticians because this is shameful when Somali people are dying of hunger, street kids exist and Somalis are proud of having some habasha give him a shave and wet towel mask...who can't train a desperate Somali kid to do that for them?

Somalis are failures wale. Stupid mad dhoqon people hiring foreigners to do their works.

High unemployment in Somaliland yet They hire foreigners. You will never see people in china japan do this.

Stupid people. They wont Even mobilize their own population. They just fetch people from elsewhere India china Pakistan.

There is 80% unemployment in somaliland.

The solution is complete ownership of the products/services that we use to live in a productive way. Creating business and employing our own people, and therefore empowering our people, creating wealth in the broadest sense and retaining that wealth within our own communities. The doors in which we traditional hemorrhage wealth to other communities must be closed off.
