In the age of nation-states (let alone supranational organizations like the EU), a tiny ethnic group that organizes its society along clan lines will inexorably find itself mired in internecine conflict while other nation states prosper and exploit their artificial divisions.theyuusuf143 wrote:But they too are struggling to deal with Racism, Class and religious sects. just watch the CNN The US government biggest internal problems is all related to the above Social differences. There's a reason all developed societies have abandoned clans centuries ago. It's a nonviable system of social organization that has no place in the modern age of nation states.
In theory, a highly homogenous natural nation-state like Somalia would be able to avoid the sort of internecine violence that keeps diverse artificial states poor and underdeveloped.
Unfortunately, our people seem to desperately cling to a system that's quite literally the only thing keeping them apart.
I sometimes think the average Somali IQ estimate is a bit generous
Qabiil is a bronze age system of social organization that does nothing more than divide an already miniscule and threatened ethnic group, leaving it at the mercy of its more united neighbors.
History has shown that societies move from clans to tribes to nations to internal ideological divisions. We're still stuck living like neolithic bands of hunter gatherers.
