You are way ahead, masha Allah sis and I wish you the best with your future achievements, by Allah. I read that you already live back home too, that's an achievement in my book, your money goes to Somalis, unlike us.
Games, you'll get there, you're still young and have plenty of time.
Agent, I'd advise you have a business too, boost the local economy

CARE International. They often look for qualified Somalis to help with their projects in Somalia.

CARE are/were in Somalia? Honestly I only knew of grassroots ones like Adeso and the UN. What was your role and where you based? Are you still working in aid/development?

Yeah they do, but they don't have major offices there. They work through local partners in different locations throughout Somalia. My boss and colleagues were all Somalis, but the contract and payment was through their European office. I did IT related work. I am not in development work anymore, it was a temporary gig I did just to see what working in Somalia was like.

2 schools, setting up solar lighting for my tuulo which is now the most brightly lit one, doing mineral analysis of rock samples that I suspect are emeralds and rubies and buying up land near the defunct Sinclair exploratory well in Wisil Mudug. I also have paid for 5 of my cousins to do basic auxiliary vet programs so that I have capable staff when I enter the livestock business

Crap. Constant shaxad, dishonest staff, government, Caaqiils. The entire nation has developed a begging dhaqan. No self reliance or self help. It is always we need ngos to do stuff for us.
The worst part are the merchants of chaos: "doctors, pharmaceutical dealers, police army and government in general. Profit above all.

Relaxed as fuck. Everyone was friendly and you get a nice long break around noon as people took siestas.

Plus getting paid a Western norm salary under Somalia's cost of living you instantly belong to the 1% of the country.

LOL @ Shaxaad culture...I noticed that too, very sad but seeing as people have no institutions or major employers to work for, they get what they can when its available. How is the agri-business coming along? Have you started implementing yet or are you still going through red tape/planning choas?

Does the 1% mean chilling in hotels all the time or are there any other benefits? I think its a great time to network like crazy...a lot ofvery senior people chilling in a handful of hotels.
Glad to hear that people are still friendly
