However, bear in mind that the scholars state that if a female has not reached puberty (menses) and is not physically mature enough to bear children then it is not a given. It would be illogical to consummate such a marriage if the girl in question isn't able to conceive or give birth without complications.

i don't get it. what's the difference between 18 years girl/boy and 16 years old.

it's just numbers. the real difference is how mature physically and mentally she/he is.

as long there is no one forcing the girl to marry i don't see a problem. but i will advice anyone to marry a girl younger then 20 unles the man is also a teenage.
