Russia launches first airstrikes against targets in Syria, says US

Russia has launched its first airstrikes against targets in Syria, according to US officials, two days after the Russian leader spoke to the UN and called for an international coalition against terrorism to fight Islamic State.

US officials told Reuters that Russian airstrikes appeared to have taken place in the vicinity of Homs.

America has a long history of bombing buildings and babies all over the muslim world. From Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. The Muslim world, especially Sunnis, have become accustomed to the genocidal tendencies of the US and their insatiable thirst for Innocent blood to the point where any war plane (that doesn't belong to Uncle Sam) flying over known terrorist makes "Sunnis" get up in arms. The hypocrisy of some Muslims and their short term memory about who contributed to the distraction of Iraq and the empowerment of Shia is thousand times more offensive than any crime Assad might be guilty of.
