typical reer baadiye!

there is no such thing as cagdheer culture, culture belongs to the region not the people, people can have different origins but the culture is local to the region they are found in it

My argument was that dhaanto was introduced to other ogaadeens by the reer wabi ogadeens, ask any historian!

Let me enlighten your reer badiye horizon with other cultural examples

Ever heard of raqsat al xaraabi-the sword dance- the abyssinian dance that the sayida aicha was watching it?

This dance is common across the read sea including the saudis by other names such as raqsat al carda

Dabke dance is common within the levant countries-syrians, lebanese, palestinians- turkish and kurds so its an eastren mediterranean and anatolian culture

Do you know who you're talking to? Where do you think I'm from?

its called cross-cultural comparison. Your claiming a thing without knowledge!

You probably think that shirib belongs to abgaal? Abgaal were the last to adopt it! This is common dance among reer shabeele and even banadirs. The first abgaal shirib poet is well known.

What im telling you is that every region has the diversities of the same culture..if your clan is well known for dhaanto just like abgaal are well known for shirib it doesnt mean they own it, it belongs to the region!

It is possible the last three decades you witnessed it played by Those you mentioned... these decades well everything was up for grabs. By the way I am older than you and been a witnessed a lot smash and grab, example Niiko was originated by Bantu people and today it is for everyone. So keep claiming your bililiqo.
lol ok, where was the ogaadeen dhaanto developed at? Go and check out your own historians like aabi duulaa they will tell you that it was developed at godey/shabelle region

He says it was introduced to iimey and hawd by some somali soldiers from the british army-in the 40s, second world war-

Arent ogaadeen the last comers in this region?

Why bahgari and cabdalla exactly and not the majority of ogadeen subclans?

You see im not claiming it but I refuse the notion that it was developed by ogadeen, this culture has been there before ogadeen....saar is also original to hawadle, gaaljecel, awramale and garre and it seems that ogadeens have adopted it in waamo!

You need to accept that no one owns the somali culture

Niiko and sharax are only found in the towns bc they were introduced by the tv, this is an ancient nomadic culture

Hiiraan is a melting pot, you can find in it every culture and dialect

our abwaan mustafa shiikh cilmi says that dhaanto has spreaad from "gees to gees", he means it spread from shabelle to north

Image

Are you saying now that Ogadeen came that part of Ethiopia after 1940 and some unknown soldiers introduced dhaanto after that?. Ku qabso ku qadi meysadi ayaad wadataa weliba aad ciyaaro carbeed xitaa soo uruursatay. il adayg badanaa Sahal gacan baan kuu taagay. I will claim "mismaar" from Makaawiyiin- Saudis and call it my own.

Gabre,

Is it true that the Patron Saint of the Dhaanto, the Dhaanto Messiah Cabdi Cumar may be pressured to step down? If so, it would be a disaster for the Somali music scene.
