This topic reminds me of a conversation I just had the other day with a Kenyan. He is Kikuyu and was talking down on Luo and Kamba tribes. He says he hates both tribes.

Then he threw me a curve ball; he asked what are Somalis fighting about in the last quarter of century. He went further by saying there are no large proven oil, minerals or natural resources in Somalia, so what is the fight about. I swear to Allah I could not think of an answer. All I could think of fight is over ideology (read Alshabab vs all others), but that is a lie. I told him I am in no position to answer that question since I am not from Somalia.

Can y'all help me with answer(s) so that I can wipe off the smirk from this ugali eating Kikuyu's face?

I say Somalis are like the headhunters of South-East Asia. Everyone's an enemy accept one's own clan. Truth gotta be told.

Here is your answer: Everyone want to become a president and kill or enslave the rest. Simple.

As long as I do not go to Somalia, I will not associate, entertain, be part of, or use qabil. I am a kenyan Somali American. That is enough for me till I die.
Unless you had a labatomy done yesterday I must quote you on some things.. Just to remind you incase you've forgot..

" you used to live with your hooyo until she handed you yo your SACAD husband" remember Sumu?

" I'm not going to argue with you because you are married to a SACAD which means you are my dumaashi"

These two statements both indicate that you are nothin short of plain hilarious..

Actually, this is a good thing. respecting your in-laws and your mother's side of the family is a honorable thing. What I am talking about is people hating other qabils and denying them justice. Knowing your qabil and respecting them is a good thing. I have said many times I am habargidir saleebaan. That is a good thing. But I love Darood, isaaq and Dir, madhibaan and digil. I feel very bad of everything that Hawiye did to other brothers on our name. If I was the president, I will have not formed a gov't unlill hawiye take responsibility for their actions on others. That is why I will never go back to Somalia because their are qabileste.

Know the difference between qabil and qabyalad? qabil is where your father came from and its good because incase something happen to you somewhere, people can locate your parents. Qabyaalad is when I hate Ogaden for just being Ogaden without doing anything to me personality. Or hiring people and denying others jobs based on their qabil. The prophet was a quraishi, and I am habargidir. both of us are good.

When I go to Somalia, I want peace and quite, no stress, I just want Somalinimo, no qabyalad, that is why I will avoid Somaliland and Puntland all together, I will just go to places I know the culture is relaxed, I will chill in Caabudwaaq or go Kismaayo for business and negotiate with Amxaar slaves managing the port.

Good point, my question is, why did you feel the need to emphasise my husbands clan in your statement ? You could have just settled with " your mum handed to your husband" that right there dear, is qabyaalad deely embedded in your thinking.

Ok. 2 ay uqaybsamaan. 1) Leta chai ya wazee kichana wetu tumetembea sana ( Wiilkeena keen shaahii odayaasha wax badan baan soconay) iyo 2) wewe ongea au utafanyishwa kazi ( hadal ama waa lugaa shaqaynaa). I am not lying I paid tea alot of times if they use the first sentence. I never give a shit if they use the second one. All I tell them is, wazee, nawaheshimu lakini mimi ni mkenya kama nyinyi na nikona haki katika katiba( odayaasha, waanixushmaynaa laakiin kenyan baan ahay xaq ayaana kuleeyahay dastuurka). If they soften up, I always give them something like Ksh200. Otherwise I just follow them till I get released. They mostly will walk you miles to make you tired so you give money but I don't give money by threats.
