Rambie wrote:End every sentence with "nooh" and what does it mean ???
And stretching the last word with A like "wan hakajinia" with means "I'll fix it"
Southerns say "wan hakajinaa"
It feels so wrong and annoying when it being said loud.

Haye my turn why do y'all talk so aggressively? Why do y'all speak so freaking fast? War sometimes i have to listen real good to understand.
This is a good example below. What the hell did he say before ha ila yaabina dee.

The sound nooh is from italian..italians use it as a pleading word..Rambie wrote:End every sentence with "nooh" and what does it mean ???

I wourd say its equivalent to the "dee" some people use.. kind of hard to explain why its used, it just is..

Re: Why southerns
Balaayo ma jidho hadday jidhana ma buudhna is the correct saying!
As Sussu said, Nooh is the equivalent of dee. It's a catch phrase iyo hadal qabsi.
But let's be honest, that's the least alien ree Koonfur term to us ree Waqooyis. I have heard of million other terms I can't even remember some. Where were you when this ree Koonfur girl said to me
" Aboowe kubeerto ma rabtaa nooh" And I was like balaayo kugu beertaye maxad shegaysaa! In my head though ofcoz, I was never gonna say that out loud. Little did I know she meant "Buste" ilayn.
And when my friend Kiloo was asked at a casuumad if he wanted an extra Istaraasho loool and he said " Ooh no, I am full up thanks " thinking he was being offered extra food and deserts when he was simply offered a napkin

The one that gets me is "madaxa iga feedh"

The miscommunication can be lethal
Re: Why southerns
There is also this term; Hallaabay.
Reer Koonfur's version: Xumaaday/No longer working
Reer Woqooyi's version: Lumay/Lost.
