Just like the Wahhabis you despise (and rightfully so), who wish to supplant traditional Somali identity with Arabism, you too wish to subordinate Somali culture to a foreign way of life, in your case with the Western liberal and humanist traditions. But what makes you worse than the Wahhabi's is that your subversion of Somali traditionalism is more insidious, since it's done under the guise of protecting the very Soomaalinimo that you and your ilk are working to destroy.

I'm sorry son, but the pristine nomadic culture is deeply patriarchal, socially conservative, xenophobic and economically libertarian (unlike the socialist leanings of leftists like urself). Your attempt to fight one extreme with another is not representative of our cultural ethos nor the sentiments of the average Somali in the miyi/baadiye, who would fight you tooth and nail if you tried to turn their women into the feral sluts of the feminist West, who you deem to be 'empowered'.

How am I out to destry Somalinimo when im trying to save it from Arabophiles and their Arabism. I think we can learn from them, but we should never surrender our own culture, norms and values (at least the positive ones). Do you oppose the promotion of Somali women's rights... is that what you really mean?

Somali culture has many Socialst principles and in particular social security in the form of support from kin, social insurance in the form of so called diyaa-paying groups, heck even getting married was traditionally a social affair as the whole community contributed to the establishment of each household.

I see you've shown your true colours. I can't believe you call yourself a proud Somali and then go on to disrespect all Somali women like that. I was suggesting that they should have equal property ownership rights, political participation rights, a right to access education and jobs/professions, a right to make decisions independently (such as whether to have operations or not) without approval of their husbands, protection from sexual and domestic violence, protection from destitution and daylight robbery in divorce. And you call them "feral feminist sluts" for wanting those things?
