Lol grant is generalizing and caring about this region bc it has an imported bantu minority thinking of them they r not somalis
Reer waqooyis would do any thing to proof that somalia is not a homogeneous country forgetting that their equivalents are the samaale clans not the sab who had no identity problems except calling for federalism since the 40s wich is understandible
Af maay is a pure somali dialect, the only difference is about two things; having uncommon farming vocab....this is normal bc the people in miyiga have their own uncommon vocab too
The second difference is about the pronounciation, maay has totally different pronounciation and gramatically is closer to the banadiri dialect
Here is our speaker, dont tell me that you dont understand him and if you do you need to take one lesson in maay!
Hebel hebel ma dhahaayo ee kurtigiin waad salaaman tihiin....dadkeyga waa dad af gaaban oo dawladnimada jecel iyo in la dhex dego.......dhalinyaro iyo odayaal, caamo iyo culimo...markey federalka bilaabeen aniga ma dhalan
