Obsession with Islam dominates western discourse, be it political, social, etc. and in an arena of global media, spreading information/misinformation. The narrative is of course negative..but the intensity to which the focus is casted, I don't think the handlers of public opinion thought through the other possible outcome; contrary to the "intended" one.
