The towns are on the north of the river, but almost all of the farmland is in the south bank totally exposed to Darood in the south.

The farms you see on the outskirts of jamaame are owned by the same people living there. don't assume that every thing south of the river is automatically owned by darod. it depends on settlements, if there is no darod villages near jamaame then you don't own what you see there.
