i dont know what you guys are celebrating, but unlike any other politician in mogadishu gaas actually represents a nation. a nation that will hold him accountable for any action he takes whilst being the head of state.

our people, our past and present leaders and our agenda are on par. puntland does not cede to anyone, we hold all of our cards and play them accordingly. i strongly believe that my wish of puntland independence is nearing to realisation. however, aslong as we are in this mogadishu mess without a sincere national interest we will continue to look for our best interest.

jubaland and madoobe are two seperate entities just as gaas and puntland are. madoobe is known for switching sides. madoobe-alshabaab madoobe-ethiopia madoobe-kenya and probably is always looking out for his best interest. this is not the first time madoobe has done a runner against puntland. puntland under faroole was a staunch supporter of yuulka during his standoff with HSM and madoobe who initially was on the same boat as faroole and yuulka decided to do one of his old Ronaldinho quick footed blinding stepovers leaving faroole and yuulka behind with absolute astonished faces.

madoobe's administration is far younger and less sophisticated than puntlands therefore more prone to outside interference, so ill overlook his choices. considering puntland hasn't spoken about this must be a pre agreed action.

having said that, i trully believe there are other motives for puntlands continuous push for a district based election. there are major rumours that somaliland is being integrated into somalia proper and i and many others feel that puntland are simply seeking a similar deal to whatever somaliland is being offered. alas puntland hasnt signed anything and has full control over the puntland mps in mogadishu and can at any given moment recall and simply shun the whole election.

as the strongest and most complete administration in somali peninsula in the horn of africa besides our northern neighbours we are not easily moved. and unlike the self serving suits in mogadishu our CHOSEN/ELECTED officials will continue seeking the best interests for reer puntland.

Whitehartlane, PL will never shun any elections. These folks love to be at whoever is in charges table be it Jinniboqor who was Minister in Aidids government or Cumar Buurow who is in Garguurtes.

what is this deluded talk of SL integrating with somalia again lol - its far more likely that your puntland region will be seceding which you'll like setting off dominoes resulting in the ex Italian somalia being broken up into 3 - 4 mini nations

I prefer both somaliland and somalia to be two separate, centralized countries living side by side in peace and prosperity

I would prefer Somalia to not be balkanized for external influences to pit us together only to divide and conquer.
