Having Ethiopia's backing means they think this idea benefits Ethiopia more than the current system.

Whether it benefits Somalia or not is unknown.

All nations look out for themselves. In political game, nobody is a true friend of another country, it only befriends when it is most beneficial to themselves (or to their leaders).

My advise to reer Somalia is to do constituency based election. Like they do in the UK. It should be based on population not land size. But Banadir having 16 seats, while waqooyi galbeed has only 3 seats is a joke. So you people are saying 3 districts in Banadir have the same amount of people as Hargeisa, Berbera, Gabiley and all the other countless settlement added together.
Hawiye and Darood are both just as bad as each other.
