Hoobariiska I posted the thread to figure out too.

They robbed some computers from a polling station in sabawanaag they shot up the polling station one person injured working at the polling agency staff some were beaten up and they ran off with the goods yesterday today sixteen of them where captured by the police they had heavy weaponry and two vehicles their motives I have no clue.

Any forensic evidence linking the men to the crime or just a gut feeling?

Just weapons used and the vehicles and people were witnesses.

What you mean gut feeling there is a lot evidence so far just have to wait for the trial.

I am advocating our police be properly resourced. So they can do their job. I am a big fan of forensic science.

A typical case was a murder in hargeisa few years back. A man was killed with a toori and the assumption was a reer burco guy did the murder. I think they framed a reer burco guy.

The only forensic will take place is the bullet holes in polling station will be matched with bullets from the robbers guns.

And no I'm not into murder shows.

you do know somaliland has forensic team I don't know how good they are but when you matching bullets it about measurements and gun powder type they already do dna testing, so they should be able do that in a lab but this is a simple case the people seen the shooters.

you do know somaliland has forensic team I don't know how good they are but when you matching bullets it about measurements and gun powder type they already do dna testing, so they should be able do that in a lab but this is a simple case the people seen the shooters.

sxb ma ku baraa? first thing first, first, there is no such thing as gun power type testing, pretty sure most gun power are similar

our police should, collect and identify the bullets, match to a gun that can fire those type of bullets, then find a gun with the alleged bandits and compare and match using comparisons microscope. Thats just one aspect of the investigation, but they should also do tyre trace evidence, dna, fingerprint analyses, eye witness reports, vehicle analyses, etc etc

For example a shotgun has buck shots and assault rifle has hollow tips that uses two different types of gun power I'm not forensic expert but I know about guns don't push it.
